I do wonder if they'll try to get Clooney for the Facts of Life. He is friendly with Kimmel. Of course, it wouldn't really make sense to do a Facts episode from Clooney's season; the show had run out of gas by then.

Don't get hopes up for bicycle store episode--that was a two-parter.

Should we assume Ann Dowd does double duty as Mrs. Garrett on both shows?

They could bring him in to play another character... the principal from the early years?

Yeah unsurprisingly she’s doing both. But it would have been truly amazing if Character Actress Margo Martindale played Mrs Garrett in the second half.

So, 40- and 50- somethings playing teenagers, but no Steve Buscemi?

Wish they would have just gotten Lisa Welchel back to play Blair. She's still pretty hot, IMO.

So are we just mocking these original shows now? These specials started out cool, but with this most recent special it just feels like Kimmel and company are going with gimmick casting.

Damon Wayans is Willis? Considering his track record for TV, he'll likely drop out during rehearsals or walk off during the live show.

Pretty much that’s how it looks.

Especially since one of the intentions by the creators of The Facts of Life was to have actual teen girls portraying teen girls. But then they threw that out the window when all the girls wore short-shorts even though it's supposed to take place in upstate NY during the school year. (Although I was 12 when the show first came on, so that was about as close to heaven for a pre-teen boy as you can get without actually dying)

Guest stars are Jason Bateman, Will Arnett and Snoop.

Episodes adapted:
TFOL - Season 3, Ep 20 - Kids Can be Cruel

I was wondering who would be playing Kimberly. They chose to adapt an episode that she doesn't appear in.

This airs tonight. I’m kind of excited about it. While cast was on Jimmy Kimmel last night.

Ann Dowd is gonna rock as Mrs Garrett in both episodes

Spoiler:
She does return.. in her school uniform no less... to sing the theme song at the episode open. She would have been better at playing Blair than Aniston (who kind of walks thru the episode just being Rachel from Friends.) Mindy Cohn was also there and I couldn't hear if they said Kim Fields and Nancy McKeon were showing up tonight.

I know it hit the trades about Jon Stewart being in the episode already.

Todd Bridges came out to say thanks and pay tribute to Gary, Dana, Conrad and Charlotte before their episode and Wanya Morris and Shawn Stockman (BoyzIIMen) sing the Diff'rent Strokes theme.

So this isn't actually live? I thought the other ones they did were actually broadcast live.

Tonight is live.. but they had a rehearsals on Sunday and they taped last night just in case something goes wrong with the broadcast tonight as a safety precaution so there would be something to air.

Jennifer Beal and David Leisure make an appearance in the Jack in the Box commercial.

Lisa Welchel.....wow. Folks, she's 58 years old. Ann Dowd was great though. Aniston was just Rachel pretending to be Blair, as someone else pointed out. Overall not very good. Just started "Diff'rent Strokes". So far this is worse.

They’re killing it with these retro commercials.
