Question about "Match Game" and $100,000 Pyramid"

What time of year do each air? "Match Game" appears so randomly. And I haven't seen "Pyramid" air in months. Thanks!

Match Game appears to fill programming gaps. Pyramid is a summer show.

Re: Question about "Match Game" and $100,000 Pyramid"

I have my DVR set for Match Game, and yes, it does seem to pop up randomly...although in stretches of six to eight weeks in a row.

What surprised me is how FAR in advance these shows are taped. We all know TV shows get filmed months before they air, but the recent Match Games were shot over a YEAR ago. I remember Kevin Smith saying he was going to be on an episode last February (of 2018) and thought I missed it...it aired just recently. Then Adam Carolla was talking on his podcast about how his Match Game episode took over a year to air.

The next game show being added to the line up is Press Your Luck but they may be going with Whammy as the title similar to the version on game Show Net a decade or so ago.

Card Sharks as well.

Whammy was an awful knock-off.

ABC is pretty true to the original versions so I would expect to see it more like the original version.

We hated card sharks.
Might have been the most boring game show ever.

Liked Whammy. Thought it was really funny with the Super Whammys. The set was pretty bad though looked like the filmed that show without lighting.

The Strahan Pyramid got me recording the old Dick Clark pyramids on GSN to watch before work in the morning while I ate breakfast. Re-watching the Dick Clark show just made me despise the Strahan update. The update is just an obnoxious show.

that is how I feel about the new Family Feud. for a while we were watching the Richard Dawson ones from back in the day, we saw the new ones and taped those and it left a bad taste in our mouth with the over the top questions and contestants talking trash and doing the stupid X with their arms. Gave up on the original shortly after that as they seemed to have a limited number of episodes in rotation and we started seeing the same families again.

The new Press Your Luck bonus round was interesting.

The rest of the game was pretty true to the original. Biggest difference is that they had some very big prizes on the board - a Jaguar, for example, which one of the contestants actually hit. Unfortunately, subsequently lost it to the Whammy.

Looking forward to the new Card Sharks tonight.

There’s something very odd about Press Your Luck. It felt scripted and the contestants seemed like actors.

Did anyone else think Elizabeth Banks was yelling the entire show? Other that that, I enjoyed it. I used to spend my summer vacation sitting in front of the TV at 10:30 am watching the original show when I was a teen. I have always been a big fan of the show.

Yes she definitely is yelling. I wasn't even sure it was her since I didn't hear the beginning of the show. What's with the eye makeup?

Impressions. A one hour Press Your Luck show (rather than two half hour shows) is just too long. As for Card Sharks, if they were trying to find the two most annoying people in the world to make me not ever want to watch it again then they could not have done better with their first two contestants.

I liked that she had a lot of energy. She seemed to actually enjoy hosting.

Wow - they were beyond annoying.

that the winner of the 2nd game got dealt 3 Aces in a row in the bonus round.

They made significant changes to Card Sharks, and not for the better. And McHale was a really boring host. In contrast to Banks.

Match Game if my favorite.
Holy Moly is brutally bad.
cant stand Strahan won’t watch it.

I would like to have had another game show added instead of Holy Moly.

if Yiu like Match Game the rarely seen Match Game/Hollywood Squares hour airs on Pluto Tv on the Buzzr channel every night

Re: Question about "Match Game" and $100,000 Pyramid"

So far, I think they have aired only three new episodes of "Match Game" this Summer. All of the others have been repeats from past seasons. I know these shows are taped months in advance. One person even said somewhere online even a year ago. So what happened!? And just where the hell is "Pyramid"?

I never watch live but we were watching Press Your Luck on Hulu for a few weeks as a family and then it suddenly stopped. Match Game is fun as well but again not a new episode in a long time. Had never watched Holey Moley before but Holey Moley II is hilarious.
