Jan-Michael Vincent - Dead 74
Jan-Michael Vincent -- the '80s heartthrob best known for his role on TV's "Airwolf" -- has died ... TMZ has learned.
Jan-Michael actually died back on February 10 after suffering cardiac arrest while a patient at a North Carolina hospital ... according to the death certificate. We're told no autopsy was performed and he was later cremated.
DAMN! Died back in Feb. and no news until now? Poor guy. His life sure went downhill. Really sad. Back in 2012 he almost died from infection and had to have his leg amputated.

His life went to shit because of his drug use. Too bad he could have been a bigger star.

Unfortunately
He could have been a huge star. Had the looks and the talent.

I remember this injury reported in the '90s.

Airwolf was a fun show. RIP Jan-Michael Vincent.
Immediately prior to filming (Red Line, 1996), Jan-Michael Vincent was in a severe car accident that left his face badly scarred. He can be seen still wearing his hospital ID wrist bracelet in the movie.

Airwolf was a fun show. RIP Jan-Michael Vincent.

I think the last time I actually saw him in anything was Nash Bridges and that was ages ago. RIP
When I was a kid I loved Danger Island. That shit was intense for a Saturday morning serial. Probably totally cheesy now.

It's sad he had the world at his fingertips and threw it all way. I remember as a kid when we first got HBO, I bet I watched him in Damnation Alley almost every time it aired. I loved that movie and would like to see it again. I was a big fan of Air Wolf as well.
RIP, May you find enteral peace.

I read somewhere once he was the highest paid actor on tv during Airwolf.
I was a big fan during the seventies. He was big with the ladies too. I would go to every new movie that came out, at the drive-in, with some girl. Buster and Billie was often tacked on as a second feature and it really got girls in the mood. Buster and Billie would often be tacked on to non JMV movies also. It seemed to come around at least once every summer.
Damnation Alley was exclusive to one indoor theater because of the 70mm and elaborate sound track requirements.
Sad

Sad to hear this. My Mom was so in love with him before I was born that she named me after his character from a 1970s soap opera named "Jeffrey" Thank god, as my father wanted to name me Hector after his favorite uncle.
RIP,
FWIW I remember liking Airwolf back in the day....
