Gotham (S5E08) -- "Nothing's Shocking" -- 2/28/19

BULLOCK'S PAST COMES BACK TO HAUNT HIM ON AN ALL-NEW "GOTHAM" THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 28, ON FOX

Bullock's past comes back to haunt him when he and Gordon investigate two murders at Sirens. Meanwhile, Bruce and Alfred explore the tunnels beneath the city, and Penguin and Nygma's plans to escape are thwarted by the least likely of suspects in the all-new "Nothing's Shocking" episode of GOTHAM airing Thursday, Feb. 28 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (GTH-511) (TV-14 L, V)

Cast: Ben McKenzie as Detective James Gordon, Donal Logue as Detective Harvey Bullock, Morena Baccarin as Dr. Leslie Thompkins, Sean Pertwee as Alfred Pennyworth, Robin Lord Taylor as Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin, Erin Richards as Barbara Kean, David Mazouz as Bruce Wayne, Camren Bicondova as Selina Kyle/the future Catwoman, Cory Michael Smith as Edward Nygma/The Riddler, Chris Chalk as Lucius Fox

Guest Cast: Dan Hedaya as Dix

This is actually episode 11 in the production order. Apparently episode 12 is airing next week as episode 9.

Looks like they're airing episodes out of production order, but this doesn't mean the storylines will be all whacked. Some shows film storylines out of production order.

Penguin, Riddler and Mr. Scarface should be greenlit as a half-hour comedy spinoff.

I never thought we'd get the Ventriloquist in live action. That actor could have been a little better at disguising throwing his voice. I was surprised they just didn't dub Scarface's voice.

Apparently the actor is a real ventriloquist.

The character is not a professional ventriloquist, so it would make sense that you could see him move his lips.

It would not be realistic for someone who experienced trauma to suddenly develop ventriloquism skills that require years of practice.
Spoiler:
And GOTHAM is all about keeping it real, man!
