I was really hoping for an exploration of Bortus' dating history, extended family, and board game preferences, but I guess this new arc will have to do.

Life 3.0: Being Human in the Age of Artificial Intelligence

It's by an MIT prof and I picked it up after Elon Musk recommended it. AI is going to literally restructure our world economy and culture, probably within our lifetimes.

Cool episode. Season is getting better than how it started.

Great episode. The kid walking off the ship was also my only complaint.

Am I wrong, or was every crew member shot by the Kaylons wearing a red shirt?

Yep! I noticed that as well and pointed it out to my wife.

Does anyone else suspect that a computer virus will be used to subdue the Borg, er, Kaylons?

Maybe they'll load Bortis' porn program to their home world?

(Navin Johnson voice) These red shirts are defective. Wait a minute...they hate red shirts! Stay away from the red shirts everybody! Aagh! More red shirts!

I hope we're not heading for a let down in part 2. I kept thinking the Kaylons are doing a big practical joke since they brought up Isaac cutting off Malloy's leg. I don't think they'll do that lazy way out, but it was the first thing I thought of.

Just saw this on imdb trivia, I thought it sounded familiar for some reason.
The farewell speech by Isaac (Mark Jackson) is copied from Sally Field's acceptance speech at the 1985 Oscars.
Every time I see a kid's bad drawing I always think of this:

Ding Ding! Here comes the shit-mobile. I've never seen a fire truck that needed to be shaved. I would rather be burned to death than be saved by this hairy piece of shit. F

Yeah that was my favorite throwaway line of the episode.
I’ll definitely look into that! I do find the topic intriguing, after reading Kurzweil’s book a few years ago.

I'm just the opposite. I always take interior slices since they have less frosting.

Honestly, those robots would look cooler without the "eyes". But whatever...

Did Issac's model from last year have the seams in the head used to open up in this episode? I feel like it was smooth all around last year but now there are very visible seams to justify the opening up with guns.

If they reverse the polarity on the robots communication signals to blue-eyed models than Isaac will have to think for himself and can be convinced to re-join the crew. Or maybe Klyden will stare at them all disapprovingly until they surrender. Both seem equally possible with this show.

That was cool episode. There is no doubt Isaac will turn and help the crew.

They certainly upped the action in this episode but I had many of the same complaints.

A) Give me a middle piece because I prefer less frosting.
B) How did that kid just stroll off the ship?
C) How was he not seen on the planet?
D) Wouldn't they have disposed of the bodies better than that?
E) You are being boarded so you have two people at a time offer a frontal assault to a superior force?
F) There are no internal defenses to intruders? Can't you at least lock a fucking door?
G) Why has Adrienne Palicki not returned any of my 3000 texts, tweets, emails and letters? I know damn well I'm not being creepy.

I wondered about those things too.
E) You are being boarded so you have two people at a time offer a frontal assault to a superior force?
This was common in the original ST.
F) There are no internal defenses to intruders?
Robotic arrogance if I've ever seen it...
Can't you at least lock a fucking door?
"Locks? We don't need no stinkin' locks!"
G) Why has Adrienne Palicki not returned any of my 3000 texts, tweets, emails and letters? I know damn well I'm not being creepy.
For the same reason why cyclops has been ignoring mine.

Federation starships had force fields on their decks. I assume the robots disabled all security protocols, including the force fields, doors, etc.
