Definitely an assassination job, but the investigator won't solve the case if he doesn’t identify the victim first. That's always the first step. Identify your victim.

He should try the same method like how they solved the Golden State Killer, using the variety of ancestry DNA websites.

Or in season 3 we will find the investigator dead because he's researching a case he shouldn't be looking into 😳

Yeah, the second episode is very strange. Definitely feels like it wasn’t a suicide to me. I mean so many things just don’t add up for it to be that.

The powerful gun with more than enough ammo, the tags being cut out of her clothes, the way her hand was gripping the gun and lack of blood on her hand, and of course the made up name and personal information.

I also wonder if they checked for gunpowder residue on the hand holding the gun or if that was a thing back in 1995.

Either she was some kind of spy, an assassin, or was involved with a crime organization are my best guesses. I wouldn’t normally go to those conclusions as they seem somewhat far fetched, but in this case it feels like those options make the most sense.

The odd part is how she checked into the hotel without proper identification. Did she have a connection there who got her in? Has that person been questioned?

Just a very bizarre case in the fact that no one knows anything about her, and the evidence that’s there isn’t much to go off of. It does almost feel like she was killed and people who knew her were silenced.

hmmm, I'm sensing a pattern with each season. Another fugitive storyline. Convicts shopping for Christmas presents?!?!

I think he's still alive (77 years old). More exposure with Netflix and social media these days, compared to America's Most Wanted (1994). It all boils down to how good the age-progressed photo is.

Another paranormal episode like the first season. But I'm having trouble getting through this episode. It's kind of boring. Don't get me wrong, I actually do believe in ghosts and the natural disaster portion actually interests me, but this "mystery" episode isn't grabbing my attention at all.

Regarding Fukushima, there is the Dark Tourist series on Netflix that I recommend checking out. The host of the show tours the Fukushima hot (radiation) zones!

Regarding episode three- I really don’t get what the state of Ohio and that prison was thinking. They were way too lenient on a prisoner who was on death row and only got off because of the death penalty being abolished.

Letting an inmate go shopping in plain clothes without an officer accompanying? Really? Just crazy to me that was allowed.

If I remember correctly, season one had an episode where the police thought the person committed suicide, while others thought hate crime (house party episode).

In this episode, the police think the mother committed suicide. I think it was an abduction by someone she knew. I believe the witnesses who say that the car was gone from the parking lot when they left the church, but it returned later. If that’s the case, a random attacker isn’t going to return the car after a carjacking/robbery.

Oh damn, this episode was hard to watch and really sad. I can’t even imagine being a parent who has a child taken from them. I agree it’s most likely people taking children to raise them, in these Harlem cases. I think they should do a spin-off series focused on missing children.

To me the fourth episode wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t much of a mystery really. Past ghost episodes have been better in my opinion. It was definitely a sad episode though.

I think the lady in episode five was probably killed because of her brother’s business problems. My guess is that maybe whoever killed her intended to scare her to get to the brother, but wound up killing her.

The sixth episode is sad. Unfortunately sounds like some carelessness on behalf of the parents in both cases.

Overall I liked the first two episodes the best.

...an elaborate ruse by young people posing as ghosts to give everyone a little thrill. Like, not a prank, and nothing malicious, but people pretending as a sort of LARP adventure that plays on people's desires to see ghosts and be helpful and friendly. I don't know, it just felt like most of the encounters seemed like regular people with odd behavior.

I think their hypothesis about the brother's trouble coming to her is spot-on. There are a few pieces of speculation the family makes that feels like 20/20 hindsight but she was clearly cleared, not suicide. Bad police work.

Seems like a valid mystery and not suicide. Definitely a group of people from the grad party know what happened.

Probably related to the girl’s credit card she fraudulently used. I imagine maybe 3 girls from the party assaulted her in retaliation, stabbed her, and placed her body on the train tracks. Whether they had the foresight that a train would be coming really soon is questionable. It just ended up that way and made a perfect cover story.
