I just watched "The Excorcist III" again on Friday night.

Great character actor. Probably not as well known as he should be.

Bummer. But on the bright side..

While I didn't know it at the time, Hersel's death on The Walking Dead is a good marker for when viewers should drop that series. His exit from the show left a huge void.

I first remember him from the Right Stuff.

I made it in the Walking Dead until Beth's death....then I was done. From what I remember he made a point to get close to Emily Kinney and Lauren Cohan to try to strengthen the familial bond.

seemed to be a genuinely nice guy. Any hint if it was old age or complications from something? the articles I read didnt seem to list a cause... RIP Hershel.

I'm guessing the first time I saw him was in "In the Heat of The Night". RIP Scott, you seemed like a Cool Dude.
