I too am curious how this will be split up. Anyone remember what Netflix did when they released Designated Survivor season 3? Was it dropped all at once or dolled out in parts?

Designated Survivor only got a 10 episode season from Netflix and it was dropped all it once. This is getting 20 episodes.

It will probably be broken up 10+10 that will air next year sometime.

Likely a good move so it doesn't end on another cliffhanger for them just to cancel it again. Season order, plan it out, and give it a proper ending. A bit faster than six seasons yet if they cut out the filler and fluff twenty hours (being Netflix it may be closer to twenty hours) should be a good amount of time to finish the story.

I finally finished season 3 last night. It was a wild finale. Thank Goodness for the renewal because it ended on so many loose ends including:




Yes it's really gone off the rails from the original premise. And no as some here complained about in past posts from the 1st season, it's not a procedural. It's gone heavy into a crazy mythology.

Well, whenever it does come back next year, I'll be looking forward to it.

I wonder if they've known for a long time that it was going to get a 4th season. Announcing the continuing story of flight 828 on 8-28-2021 cannot be a coincidence.

The final season will be split into 2 parts. 10 will air this Fall and the back 10 is TBD. I assume mostly likely Spring 2023.

No comments on the last 10 episodes? I loved the ending and how it tied everything up. Loved this series.

Yeah, I enjoyed it did get campy at the end but it was fine with me.
