I was curious enough about the concept I loosely read about and saw clips because I figured it would get canceled without a complete story and of course it did. Seems like it's almost impossible for shows like this to finish on network tv.

This is one of those shows I waited to see what would happen. Glad I did. I figured I would catch up on it when it completed its run with a conclusion. Glad I didn't bother with it.

I do like the concept which would likely make a good season-long mini series. |

I dumped this show in January 2019 (during the first season) due to the telepathy plot. I hate plots like that. Was that still a thing in these recent seasons?

Warner Brothers is in negotiations with Netflix. Nothing is set in stone yet. Manifest is currently the #1 trending show on Netflix. My guess is the kids who don't watch network TV have actually discovered it here. |

I bailed on this show about 3/4 through the first season because they somehow managed to make every character unlikeable. I was always curious how it was going to end though.
I wouldn’t read too much into the Netflix trending thing. It didn’t do shit for Hannibal. |

I wouldn’t read too much into the Netflix trending thing. It didn’t do shit for Hannibal. That said, Netflix swore off resurrecting shows from other networks after Lucifer, so who knows. |

Netflix passed on Hannibal due to Amazon having exclusive streaming rights. They could have feasibly created a new season, but they wouldn't have been allowed to stream the first 3.

My wife was a big fan of the show. She’s not going to be happy when I tell her it’s not coming back. I stopped watching halfway through season 1 but was there ever ANY resolution to the mysteries? It would be nice if there was at least something to form a guess on.

And has been mentioned before, there was barely a likable character in the bunch. The main female character was the least likable character of all. |

The creator of the show Jeff Rake had an outline of what he wanted to do each season. Maybe 6 seasons was too long, especially with how uncertain scripted TV is these days. But, he didn't design a 2-3 season show. That was never his intent. We weren't in his writer's room, so we don't know how he was mapping out his storytelling. We aren't TV writers. We don't sit in writers rooms and know how to map out stories and scripts. I think a lot of viewers think they are in their heads. It's a much harder job than people think.

Manifest‘s destiny is up in the air again. Just weeks after NBC cancelled the sci-fi drama after three seasons, TVLine can confirm that the network has restarted talks with Warner Bros. Television about a possible Season 4. As an added twist, Deadline reports that Netflix is also taking part in the renewal talks, signaling a possible mutually beneficial arrangement between NBC and the streamer. Reps for NBC, Netflix and Warner Bros. Television declined to comment. Speculation about Manifest‘s potential un-cancellation was first floated by Showbiz411. The news — which is no doubt giving Timeless fans a serious case of dé·jà vu — comes as Manifest has been burning up Netflix’s consumer-facing “Top 10” widget in the wake of its mid-June cancellation at NBC. Shortly after the release of its first two (of three) seasons to the streaming service last month, the supernatural-tinged family drama debuted on Netflix’s daily “Top 10” module at No. 2, then soon enough rose to the top spot. There, Manifest remained for 27 straight days, tying Netflix’s Tiger King for the second-longest run at No. 1; only Netflix’s own Ginny & Georgia has proven (a bit) more consistently popular, having spent a record 29 straight days at No. 1. Manifest also topped Nielsen’s weekly streaming chart for the week of June 14. Regardless of the outcome of the new NBC/Netflix talks, Manifest showrunner Jeff Rake has resolved to find financing for, at the very least, a two-hour movie to bring some sort of closure to the rest of his six-season plan. “Your support is awe-inspiring,” Rake tweeted to Manifesters in late June. “We’re trying to find a way to conclude the series. Manifest is the Mendoza line of TV shows. It's not quite bad enough to stop watching, not quite good enough to be super excited about. I think they need to move away from the "calling" of the week and reveal more of the actual events and what is really behind it.

That and the way they refer to a calling is so cheesy now. There is no way I'd watch the 3rd season on Peacock and have to watch commercials. I have a feeling if this was a Netflix original it may be better. |

Nice. I have two episodes left to finish from season 3.
I've enjoyed it even though it's a ridiculous show with a silly premise. But, I've always found it entertaining. Looks like Netflix is going to split those 20 episodes into two parts. Not surprising. My favorite two actors on it are Melissa Roxburgh and Matt Long. |
