He popped up on my FB last month as a memory post from years ago...
I'm *finally* going to start doing a big rewatch of BB soon. I'm really looking forward to it.

I will go on record now as saying Kim Wexler/Rhea Seehorn better get her own series when she is off this show. She really raises the bar acting for this show and is simply amazing in this role. yet another episode that I couldn't believe was over when 60 minutes was up.
For me the only misfire was the song playing during the Germans doing construction, one of the few lulls on the show for me.

Kim is one of my favorite characters on TV right now, and way up there for all time. Half of that is the writing, the other half is definitely Seehorn's acting.

Agreed. Her scenes are always compelling. She is brilliant at conveying inner thoughts through very subtle actions. Her pairing with the obviously more flamboyant Jimmy is genius.

I don't get the love for the Kim character. She seems dull, monotone, and a bore. She'd be a good Vulcan on Star Trek, I guess. I don't get why Jimmy would be with her.

Huell is another example or problems with doing prequel type shows/movies using the same actors. It's not out of the realm for someone to be thinner when they're younger and gain a whopping amount of weight as the years go by - but Huell also looked much older, which really doesn't jive.

Count me among those that thought the open was heartbreaking. It was the gradual unraveling of a relationship. They stop talking, they stop having meals together and even sleeping together. They don't even touch in bed anymore. Maybe because I've been through it but it rang very realistic. Another small thing later in the episode was Jimmy going to Kim's office and having to wait in the lobby like anybody else.

And his head looks more normally shaped, too.

I just watched this last night, and I believe the line was, "They expected to be here 8 months, and they're not even half way done." So to me, it was more like a 4ish-month time jump.

You are wrong. Watch the montage again. First date you see is Jimmy at the phone store during a Mother's Day Sale. Your first PPD Case date on a drug test is June 3, 2003. Last date you see is a closing of the parole case Jan 12, 2004.

BTW : It's easy to forget with all these plot lines, but we now haven't seen Nacho since Episode 4, even with the time jump. I wonder what's up with his story now and if we can see him next episode.

Also curious to see how things are playing out at HHM.
Regarding the time jump, if I heard correctly Jimmy mentioned Huell couldn't wait another month for him to get his law license back. So give it a month or two after the hearing and Chuck's death to the suspension being almost complete and that's around nine months. That also basically fits what the German said.
When did the BB timeline begin? Walter's birthday in September 2008 I believe? So now we are within four years of the BB timeline.

Good point. They're setting this up where he could easily open his practice at the end of this season, or make it the focus of next. Once he gets that license, I'm thinking with Kim not committing to joining with him, he'll just go out on his own.

Am I on drugs or wasnt that Pinkman with the long hair??
I knew there would be a time jump. Everyone expects them to split, but it seems the Huell case might bring them back together.

And he uses pools as toilets for all to see.
On a side note, I was really glad during the opening montage to see Kim finally getting that cast removed.
Lastly, I was very surprised at the ending thinking that it came way too early. Was this episode any shorter than usual?

Wouldn't Jimmy selling cellphones to scumbags be a violation of his parole? (As he's not allowed to associate with any known criminals.)

I'm not sure, but his parole ended in January 2004. You see his file go into the Closed Cases drawer during the montage so I suppose it wouldn't be an issue at that point anyway (though he was selling burner phones during that period of time when he was on parole).
