JAG in high def
My military-n-crime TV loving folks have discovered JAG on H&I, and today I noticed something. THe episode was in high definition. No question it was high def. It filled the screen and the resolution was unmistakable. But the episode was shot in 1999.
I'm guessing that the episode was filmed on 35mm film and not tape like most TV and thus was convertable. But why bother on a 20 year old show?
So, any ideas?

According to the CBS syndication bible, JAG has been done in HD since the beginning of season 5.

The Heroes and Icons channel. It’s an OTA channel that shows old series like Star Trek and Jag.

Nash Bridges was broadcasted in high def back in the late 90's or early 2000's. There would even be a little blurb at the bottom of the screen when the show came on that it was in high definition. I think CSI was in high def., also. CBS had more HD content at the time for sure.
