That's a LONG time off. It does answer the whole Avengers issue that others talked about.

Dungey also made clear that the upcoming season is not envisioned as a series ender.
No, but the year gap in-between seasons essentially guarantees that it will be the series ender.

This would be a real opportune time to do an Agent Carter movie or some other Marvel mini series event. Too bad ABC didn’t pick up New Warriors after Freeform passed. I guess that just leaves the streaming service.

It would be great if The Powers That Be spent the next year wooing some of the MCU movie actors to make an appearance next season. I know it's not likely to happen, but it just might give the show the ratings boost it needs.

It's too bad Jaimie Alexander is locked up on Blindspot- it would be great to see a Sif miniseries.

How about a new "season" of Shield that covers the origin (Agent Carter) and wraps up things in the present? No matter what, hopefully the people that run the show should know better than to end on a cliffhanger. Assume every season could be the last.

Hasn't that essentially been covered between the one-shot and two seasons?

I'd like to see Peggy in the '80s though.

There is a lot more they could do if Atwell agreed to return. Including the 80's!

Wow! That was from 4 years ago though. I wonder if he still feels that way.

I'm not seeing a lot of potential for 60+ year old former secret agents.

I think Joss Whedon was the big driving force in using TV to expand on some of the film's minor characters. With him gone, I don't think there's as much desire to do so. The actors might have been willing to do it for the right price but I can't imagine that Disney wants to pay them.
