Man I love how this series disguises popular rock songs. "Big Balls" on a sitar is brilliant.

I thought it was cool that they shot the Maharajah palace stuff at The Castle Green in Pasadena CA, where some 20 years ago Mrs. Decker and I (and a few months later, Aimee Mann and Michael Penn) got married. That round room where the two Guests flirt is where our guests had hors d'ouvres. I've seen it used previously in George of the Jungle.

Kind of a bland episode for me, but I guess not every episode can carry some big twist or reveal. I dug whatever that Indian world was, and I guess the glimpse of Shogun world at the end too.
Maeve seemed to be able to control every other host in the world, but I guess not those natives?
Also, whatever this security team is that's trying to clean things up... they're really, really bad. I don't understand walking on foot marching in to a heavily fortified and clearly well defended building

Best episode so far
The amount of host combatants doesn't seem proportionate to the size of the park. You wouldn't need that many soldiers to deliver the narrative
The security forces are a joke, walking straight ahead in the open with small arms with no cover. They would have access to bigger longer range guns and also some helicopters. There would definitely be helicopters available to travel around the park

It is the future as well, they don't have a drone that is a weapons platform with at least a minigun.

Because if you can't control the Hosts in the park, why would you be certain that you could control a Security force made up of well-armed Hosts?

I agree that the attack on the fort was some B-movie-grade level of action cheesiness.

(Wyatt personality, Maeve being shown her words are scripted, etc)
Add to that that the security force (if hosts) would have their own narrative and were not involved with humans at the park. Like the drones in episode 1.

I hope the show doesn't head towards"hosts escape into the real world", then we have another blade runner type clone/iteration

That episode was just plain bad in my book. Terminator Dolores is gonna get very boring very fast. Actually, I'm already bored of her. Get on with her obvious killing of Teddy or Teddy turning on her being the real evil of the season and be done with it. The whole park securty team attack on the fort was an even bigger joke. At this point the only thing I'm hoping is that Maeve and writer guy get out.

Umm...yeah, I'm just going to say it: The entire Dolores plot thread is boring me to tears. I have completely lost interest in anything going on during her scenes. Every time they cut back to her I groan a little. The rest of the show is still pretty interesting.
ETA:
Didn't read your take before posting mine. Looks like I'm not alone.

I really hate to say this, but I'm not totally feeling this season. Hopefully it picks up soon.
Also, maybe I'm alone in this, but I'm not at all interested in other parks. Westworld felt special, but now we're to believe there are multiple parks bordering it? Was Ford only involved with Westworld?
And like I said last week, I'm really missing the atmosphere of a functional park.

I did like the glimpse of the other park, but the battle in this episode was pretty weak. Still enjoy this show quite a bit though.

In the sequel West World was replaced with Future World. Most of the bad press from the first "incident" centered around West World so it was bad PR to reopen it.

The season preview showed the maze design on a wall. When Arnold was showing Delores the house he was constructing, there were stacks of bricks that look like they would form a maze design when put together. Has me wondering if the maze has anything to do with this house.
