I said last season the Maev's story line was far more interesting than Dolores'.

Eh, her storyline annoyed me a lot last year until the last couple of episodes, I just had a hard time going with it. It's more fun this season.

Honestly I'm not liking this season very much. Really enjoyed the first season, but almost everything I liked about it isn't here anymore.

I'm fine with Dolores, I just hope they speed up the pace a little bit and that the payoff to whatever she's doing comes at the halfway point. I don't want to see her going from town to town in Westworld for another 6 episodes or whatever.

I do think they might have glossed over the Wyatt storyline a bit to hide the fact that Deloris was Wyatt. Now I'm a little foggy on exactly who or what Wyatt was and what he/she did (though I get that it was bad and violent).

Wyatt was the "big bad" they created that who did a massacre in the past. It was introduced to us as them revealing Teddy's back story, but it turned out to be based on a true thing that Arnold did with Dolores.
Personally, I don't think any of the hosts are off program now. I think we're still playing out Ford's game.
Wonder when Shannon Woodward is going to show up again.

the Wyatt reveal was last season and was fully revealed when they showed Delores and Teddy killing the town off just before killing Arnold. If i recall correctly they show Arnold uploading "Wyatt" to Delores in that episode as well.

Westworld is bad this season. I'd heard good reviews of ep 3 before I saw it, and it ended up being a fuckin stinker just like the first two.
More than anything, I really dislike how they're jumping between Bernard timelines in each episode. They're trying to be clever, when all it's actually doing is confusing and irritating me.

- Bernard with glasses = immediate aftermath of the massacre.
- Bernard without glasses (and glitching) = two weeks later.
I guess there were those Arnold flashbacks with Deloris in S2E2, but it's pretty clear that those were flashbacks from a long, long time ago. I'm still not sure last season if we were watching Bernard with Deloris in the "present time" or Arnold with Deloris from a long time previously.

Nobody cares if it's irritating to you, it only matters if the masses feel the same way. Try watching some other stuff written by Jonathan Nolan like "Memento" and "The Prestige" and you'll see that this is about par for the course , just spread out over a longer timespan. Think outside of the box with your entertainment values.

Yeah, I've seen the movie and I wasn't really into the other parks then either, lol. At least in the movie the parks actually felt like they were near each other, and they logistically made sense.

The People: "We want Smart TV shows that don't insult our intelligence!!"..."Stop giving up stupid shallow shows!"
Hollywood: Westworld
The People: "WTF is going on!?" ..."I'm confused!"..."I gave up after the 1st ep!"..."This show suuuucks!"
Rinse and repeat...

Compared with last season, there are very few major mysteries that need to be solved (or that I care about the answer).
The only unanswered plot points that come to mind are:
1. What does Delos want with the information that Peter Abernathy was carrying?
2. How does the Man in Blacks' quest relate to the host uprising?
3. Why were all the hosts floating dead in the lake?
Have I missed anything?

I thought the general response to the first season of Westworld was overwhelmingly positive

IMO, the reason this season has sucked so far has nothing to do with the audience being confused.

I am not digging this season at all. Everyone seems to have some big "plan" but all they are doing is walking around and doing dumb crap, and the multiple timeline thing is semi useless. And what was the point of this entire last episode? I didnt get it.
BTW, I think there all only 3 self aware robots in the entire show, and much of what are seeing is still Ford's final scenario who I do not think is dead.

Maybe the Slow Burn aspect is what's bothering you?

I'm still liking it this season and can I take a moment to appreciate how frigging creepy Clementine was the last episode?

Re: Westworld (S2E03) -- "Virtù e Fortuna" -- 5/6/18
It did. THe first season had several storylines in different timelines that were all on their own easy to follow but how they fit together was complex. This season so far is just obtuse and obscure.
