Seems like a big reset. Could be terrible or could be what's needed. We'll see.
I did think the ending was very well done, though.

They should end the series right there.

I'm sure the new planet will look remarkably like Canada as all Sci-Fi does it recent years.

Rather than having a thriving colony for them to butt heads against right away, I'd like to see them discover an abandoned colony with a mystery of what happened and are they somewhere else and maybe deal with some truly alien stuff.

I kind of hope there is no new group of people to fight... Would rather them have to try to survive on a new planet with a bunch of alien wildlife rather than rinse and repeat the same plot over and over. Lets see this vast new world and expand on that instead. Enjoy the scenery. Honestly I wouldn't mind if they bring the show to some sort of peaceful community end within a season or two...

But despite my hopes, I know it'll just be another colony of people living there that they have to fight off to survive until they kill off another planet.
