I've been enjoying the season, but deleted this ep seeing Stripper Pole in the header and seeing this as another Hildie ep who I don't care for. I watch this show with my teen daughters so looks like I might have made the right move.

There wasn’t a thing in this ep that you would have needed to shield your daughter from other then the two woman acting like spoiled brats.

wife and I caught it on demand on Sunday morning. FF thur the entire first hour talk show, then when it came to the episode itself we watched for about 15 min before going to the end. I kind of feel like the magic is gone. And why bring in brand new designers??? Seems an odd move to me given how they have so many....
It just felt flat. Did they find their footing and did it get better?

I think the thing with this show now is it just feels like it’s not as good as the competition that’s come about since the original run ended. I mean now days you have all these HGTV shows that do similar things only better in most instances. I guess the main thing that differentiates this show is the aspect of neighbors doing a room for each other, but I’m not sure that alone is enough anymore. Especially when you have designers who like doing dumb shit that they know the home owner likely won’t like anyways (Hildie is the main one guilty of this).

but I still have not gone back to cherry pick the episodes she is in. The show for sure overall lost its spark and its the kind of thing I might watch if I stumble across it while its on, but it doesn't hold up as well as I would have hoped and the nostalgia is not great enough for me to return to it anytime soon.

I thought it was a solid premiere ep, and the energy of the neighbors was good.. also still a fan of Paige's perk... I'm in for another season, but for cryin out loud, why are they still doing Hildi designs??

I don't think Genevieve is going to be on the new season since is going to have her own show on Bravo now called Best Room Wins. It is going to premiere in May. Also, While You Were Out has been rebooted and it's airing after Trading Spaces. They are pitting teams on HGTV designers vs TLC designers.

I like this season more then last so far.
Paige looks thinner then last season.
The vibe is more like what it was in the early seasons I think part of it is the music.
It sounds like they went back to the peppier music and stopped using the Muzak sounding versions of the songs.

We we haven’t watched any more aside from the premier last year. No particular interest.
She also has a show on Netflix called “Stay Here”, that she co-hosts with a real estate / ex-DJ guy. We really enjoyed it and hope they do another.

Paige seems more like the old Paige, still love this show, wish they were getting Genevieve for an ep or two, but oh well...
