I don't think the Ralph story line tonight really matches that description.
And Joe wasn't even in this episode.

Yeah I think that might be an out dated description. We had that storyline earlier.
I hate that they keep killing the likable Metas. This was like the third one.

That's the description everywhere. My DirecTV has the same description and it hasn't aired on the West coast yet.
So it's totally off?

Harry indirectly helps Joe.
IMHO, poorly written write-off for the fiddler? She has powers wo the fiddle, so use them? (My wife and I have spent a lot of this season wondering how the writers imagine the scenes as they write them ... )

This was the dumbest ep yet.
She was awful, worst country/southern accent ever.
Terrible actress.
Dumb that they kept trying to force her to use the fiddle.
Didn’t need it.
Using that really bad country song that’s more known as the Sunday night football theme song.
Bad all around.

Ugh. What whotony said, just terrible all around.
At least they addressed how DeVoe showing back up was fishy to everyone.

Terrible one-off Meta/Actress and now we're stuck with her as DeVoe. And just when i think the whole "Thinker" story couldn't get worse, he can't figure out that the new Meta can get to him? And to make it worse they then have him monologue again forever (with the Flash just standing there) about just how easy it is for him to outsmart them!
Not quite Supergirl bad, but sadly inching closer with every episode.

Also, they know Devoe whips out the giant tentacle whenever he's around, why can't the team work out a plan to chop it in half the minute it comes out? Instead they all stand around and stare for 5 minutes while bad guy zaps his victims.

The other thing that blew my mind is how writers expected us to care about the Fiddler and Ralph's feelings toward her when she was only about 15 minutes of the episode and had been a bitch to everyone throughout it.
Also, even though that I agree that everyone in Central City should be asking how the hell is Devoe alive, is not credible that the cops in the city would give the cold shoulder to one of their own and even worse, the adopted son of one of the lead detectives in the city. The mayor should have been annoyed and everyone else, but the cops reaction wasn't realistic.
By the way, does no one believe on doing a simple DNA test to prove that the new Devoe is the real one? Cause it would be as simple as checking the DNA from the blood on the knife and the crime scene and doing a DNA test on the new Devoe (which we know is Ralph).

I agree with you on the Ralph deal and the silly crying and "look at me!" crap. He interacted with her for what, 6 minutes, suddenly she's the love of his life and he cries and mopes around after she's gonna. Sheesh.
Speaking of Ralph, he's still a private eye and make enough money to magically hire on Barry? Somehow I don't think either will be banking much money sine Ralph (and Barry) spend most of their days wandering around the lab.

I mean, I guess we have to go through 3 more of these sort of "introduce meta, attempt to save and then fail saving meta" before this shit is resolved. I just don't care about this story any more.

And Devo's plan is not going to be hard to understand like they make him state ALL THE TIME. It's still limited by the writers so they just have him be vague.
Why do they make people so dumb. Even if you think you can handle it yourself backup doesn't hurt. How about fighting back? She can use her powers on her own. It was a bit off.

Maybe. In this instance it wouldn't have worked though. Wasn't she behind that bubble field?

This did feel like more of a loosey-goosey Legends of Tomorrow episode than a Flash episode. The Fiddler didn't bother me as a disposable character, Flash runs through them like candy.

That was my only real complaint with this episode. Why were we expected to care so much about Country Girl after half an episode? That plot would have been more effective if she had been introduced a couple of weeks ago in small cameos.

The Fiddler girl was a shitty actress (and had a shitty fake country accent), but overall the episode wasn't that bad as some of you thought it was. But, why did Ralph have such an emotional attachment to her after barely meeting her a day or so earlier? and she was such a bitch too.
