12 episode 30th season
As of right now, I'm rooting for the basketball players (Ceballos and Marion) unless they piss me off later in the race.
The other day I saw a local promo on CBS that the producers were doing auditions for locals here in Los Angeles for a potential 31st season. Sounds like the producers of the show are planning to continue the show unless CBS says no.

Always was a fan of Marion so I'm hoping that pair makes it to the end. Despite all these people being well known I've never hard of any of the others. In some cases I'm thinking that's a good thing (the BB duo as an example).

Well go Team Indy Car! and go Team Ring Girls! since I have them as my teams in The Amazing Race game.
(Also rooting for Team Chomp and Team Big Brother - was hoping to get one of them - oh well.)
Aside from Team Indy Car, Team Chomp and Team Big Brother, the only other team I've heard of is Team Slam Dunk.
(If Team Ring Girls were UFC ring girls instead of just boxing ring girls - I would have probably heard of them)

Pretty good premiere episode. Great scenic shots and some pretty good teams so far. Team Goat Yoga was the only team that got on my nerves. Kristi and Jen look like they could be a powerhouse team. That was the craziest finish that I have ever seen in the history of the race. If the Ring Girls could park their car, they probably would still be in the race. Do all the women in Iceland look like the weightlifting lady and Miss Iceland? If so, I may need to take a vacation or move there. Also, it's good to see the ratings increase. I hope this means that we will get more seasons of the show.

Why does Amazing Race seem so classy compared to all the other shows on these days?
Great to have this back. Kudos to CBS for realizing that fans would rather see this cycle once per year rather than lose it completely to cancellation.
Nice to see Phil finally get recognized as the host during the opening credits. I wonder why they decided to make that change. Not even Probst gets that.

There's not as much of a social aspect to the competition that Survivor, Big Brother, and the various Bachelor spin-offs have.
Not to mention fewer blowjobs and handjobs than the latter two.

I'd actually think that TAR has more sex than Big Brother or The Bachelor/ette. After all, many of the teams are couples, they usually get hotel rooms for the night, and the show tapes for a little under a month. I know they don't show it, but the sexing is a happenin!
