Worst episode yet. Fucking garbage. I wish I could find the will power to just cut the cord on this show.

It was announced on Talking Dead the crossover character with Fear the Walking Dead will be:
Huh, didn't see that coming.
RPG take out was pretty sweet! And the Daryl trash truck take down saves the day.
That's all I got. And Carol, she's still awesome.

So I guess the show is gonna do a time-jump a couple years since TWD is ahead by a lot in timeline? Unless FTWD jumped their timeline already - I gave up on that shitty show, so I'm not sure what's going on.
Anyway, pretty crappy episode.

Sounds like a desperate attempt to try and save FTWD.

No I mentioned it in the FTWD thread figuring out the logistics.
I'll mention it openly now since the episode aired hours ago and the news is out.
TWD takes place on Day 624 of the zombie apocalypse.
FTWD, which just finished airing season 3, takes place on day 64
Rick wakes up from his coma and meets Morgan on Day 59.
They got their separate ways on Day 60.
They meet again on Day 314
There is a huge time gap where we didn't see Morgan (250+ days), so that's the likely place where he's fitting into FTWD. After his wife and son died, it's definitely feasible that he left town and went to Houston where FTWD will take place next season.
Scott Gimple is also the new showrunner for FTWD, so he's familiar with Morgan's backstory as he wrote most of his big episodes and his return to meeting Rick a few seasons ago.

You would think they would have been a little more eager to share this piece of information - that they have walked into a cache of weapons, including some conveniently strewn about rocket launchers. There is no bigger fan of the conveniently placed rocket launcher shot than Daryl Dixon. Guy took out a lake with one once.

Can someone explain to me Rick's plan when he went to the Junkyard? Did he want to get captured? Did he really think they would just go along with his plan even after they double crossed him last time? I'm sure it will end up that they help him because that's the way TV narratives go, but it's pretty stupid that he is lying there naked and in jail at the end when he pretty much gave himself up.

No need for a time jump because Morgan was introduced in the pilot episode and then disappeared for a long time. He lived a life before showing up at the cheese maker's house to scar me with boredom.
So, apparently he was hanging out with Madison. No wonder he went crazy.

Surprised me as well. That said, Lennie James is a terrific actor, but even he couldn't convince me he was happy about the jump from TWD to FTWD.

Lennie and Melissa weren't even pretending to be happy about it. Gimple's sending in a quick tweet that Morgan had a lot of story line left certainly didn't hold water when Melissa was talking bout crying, and Lennie was so sad. He really did seem upset about it.

I think this was part of his plan. I don't understand it, yet, but I'm sure all will be clear soon.

Re: The Walking Dead (S8E06) -- "The King, the Widow, and Rick" -- 11/26/17
Yea, I guess that makes sense. However, that means people who watch both shows will have to endure one of TWD's annoying traits - going back in time to see what happened from a different characters perspective. This always irritating me about TWD because the show took forever to move forward, since it was re-visiting stuff that already happened. But this Morgan show-hopping is worse because it's not just an episode - it'll be at the very least a whole season (probably longer) of having to watch a character that you know where he'll end up in the end of his FTWD run.
But lately I've been thinking when tv makers are going to discover a little something I call linear time. This happened and THEN this AND THEN this, rather than moving around so much. It would be a novel approach for this show, and I'd like to give it a whirl.
Thanks to whomever upthread told us where we were in the ZA. I've often thought the producers should keep us time oriented. It would be as simple as putting up a notation on the screen at the beginning of the episode. The first line could tell us how far along we are: 866 days, or whatever. The second line could orient one episode with the preceding one. All the confusion and frustration last year could have been mitigated by doing that.
They could have shown the days weren't progressing quickly and that the colony-centric episodes were happening simultaneously. It wold have taken one word on the screen. "meanwhile..."

It always made much more sense for a TWD character to crossover to Fear, but I wasn't expecting it to be Morgan. If it is true that this means he will be leaving TWD sooner rather than later, then that sucks as he is one of the few reasons to still watch the main show. That being said, I dont think that even Morgan can redeem that steaming pile of trash that is Fear the Walking Dead.

How ironic that Rick is literally locked in a steaming pile of trash on the night it is announced Morgan will be figuratively locked in a steaming pile of trash.

Abraham makes the most sense, as he is no longer on the main show but his character actually came from Texas. Since they were planning to write someone off the main show, Rosita or Eugene would work as well.

The way the ZA is portrayed in this universe, transportation (with fuel) are hard to come by. Add the fact that you'll contend with walkers and groups trying to kill you, it makes it tougher to envision Morgan being able to travel Houston and then coming back to the Georgia area.
And if travel during these times isn't as tough as I'm lead to believe, it once again makes me wonder even more why Rick and the gang didn't just take off on the Saviors.
I guess I shouldn't put too much thought into this show, since the writers never seem to.

I could still see Madison eventually becoming Alpha.
