I actually enjoyed this episode. Then again I was cleaning off memory from my phone while watching.
So they manage to continue to screw the pooch with the Morgan announcement. Why would we want to use a character that fits both geographically and time wise when we can try to explain how a character warps from Georgia to Texas and back again? What is the over/under for the number of times they put Morgan in a dramatic life threatening situation that means nothing since we know he has to live?

More often than not I find the "filler" claims in this forum to be off base. But short of a brief moment where Maggie has to make a call, and warn Jesus that he may eventually not like her decision, this was really fattening filler than could have easily been just 10 minute of another episode.

yet again I was left to wonder why the hell they just dont shoot some people. That annoying prick that went for the gun in the prison really needs a bullet.
I am also annoyed beyond belief with the junk yard people. None of that story line makes any amount of senses unless they escaped en masse from a mental institute.
I'm no ballistics expert but I think the RPG would have killed Rosita too given that it was inside a building from short range, I think the show has jumped the shark.
I think when they go out for the mid season finale they are going to be losing a lot of the audience whenever they come back again.

^I pretty much agree with all of the above, particularly the last point.
It's not quite a chore to watch, but I am yelling at the TV through quite a bit of it.

As much as I hate to say it, Maggie made a mistake. She didn't kill the wolf; she tried to lock it in a fence next to the sheep fold.

At this points, 8 seasons in, I think they've run out of their bag of tricks for any truly shocking moments or deaths.
The only death that would be truly shocking at this point would be Rick, Carl and Daryl.
My mother watched the episode 2 weeks ago that focused on Negan and she told me that she thought JDM was so over the top, it's gotten corny. He's not even threatening or intimidating anymore and I kind of agree.

Best way to learn is to play! I think too many people sit out because they think they can’t win ... the fun is in the playing! Answers are revealed over a couple of days with lots of fun memes, gifs, pictures, and plenty of player razzing.
Quick and dirty rules:
1) On regular (Sheep) questions you want your answer to match as many people as possible. So: pick the answer you think will be popular. (Think of the Family Feud.)
2) On REVERSE questions you want to pick an answer nobody else will give. It must be a correct answer though (for example, you can’t say “St. Louis” if the question is name a city with a current NFL team).
3) You have 5 SLAM DUNKS you can use to either double your score on a regular question OR turn a REVERSE into a regular question (for you only).
I’d like to start the reveals on Monday, so please submit answers by Sunday night!
Come on guys, trash the show via Sheep!

Losing interest in the show very fast. The wars are getting old.
Who is going to get dumber this week? Rick has A a lot of brain farts or is looking
for some very strange pussy.
Agree.I think JDM was A bad choice for Negan and is not intimidating
when he shows up most of the time. But would like to see his back story. But again I'm losing interest.

I’m debating on whether I should start binging TWD instead of watching week to week anymore. There is no anticipation week to week with this show (I think it’s actually making the show worse), and I wonder if I just DVR each split season and just binge like I do with a Netflix series at this point.

IMO binging is a bad idea with this show, although I do every year getting ready for the next season. Whomever writes the dialogue needs help. It is so repetitive and they verbally hit you over the head again and again with whatever the theme of the year is. The same words and phrases again and again until you want to scream and start rooting for the zombies.
I love the show, I do, warts and all. I think it's a good, interesting show and I often don't know where they are heading. But the dialogue is bad.
As for JSM, I guess he's supposed to be cartoonish and I hate the character, but I have to say I do think he's effective. The smiling psychopath whose view of reality is so skewed he thinks the only way he hurt his wife was not to put her down. During her life he treated her badly with disrespect and unfaithfulness, but he doesn't regret those things.
His character is filled with affectation, but they all are. I guess it's the stylistic choice of Kirkman. And it probably works better for the comics, don't you think?

Question for the comic readers. Do you think the character of Negan would be better on the show if he was exactly like he was in the comics? Specifically with regards to his language choices.

When the character was introduced in the season 6 finale before the head bashing, his F bomb diatribe was all in the blu-ray.

Comic Negan's language gets kind of distracting. It's the whole "Fuck Fucky Fucking Fuck McFuck Fuckity Fucking Fucker," thing that makes him come off like a ten year-old boy trying to be edgy. It actually makes him less threatening. Which might be Kirkman's intent. I don't know.

Yeah, I can see that. I was just listening to a podcast and the man being interviewed used the F word more than everyone in the entire history of the world combined has ever used. It was annoying and distracting and ended up making him sound incoherent. I honestly don't know how the interviewer followed the conversation.
I do wonder, though, whether it would be better if they chose someone more physically imposing, like the pictures I've seen of the GN. Certainly, if JDM didn't lean backwards all the time he would be more frightening. As it is he looks like Santa preparing to bellow out a hardy "ho ho ho".
