I haven't heard very good things about this reboot on other boards. Reaction has been very mixed.

Can you get CBS All Access on a Sony Blu-ray player made in 2016 or 2017?

4 duds. I deleted my subscription Thursday night. I’ll just wait for more Trek before I bother to re-subscribe.

And the monster William Shatner saw on the plane in the original made another cameo!

Just in case you were wondering, it still sucks. I'd say the 4th one, Traveler was the best one, but still not good. The one that came out today about the kid President....ugh, not good either.

I don’t know why I keep bothering with this show. It’s not good at all. The last episode was just...bad. And the promo from last week for it was misleading.

Yeah, this is generally awful.

No Twilight Zone tale should be longer than thirty minutes. These things are most effective when they’re punchy and efficient, not slow-moving and drawn out.

”Replay” was the best one, but it ran too long and I knew that it would end with the camera getting broken.

DVD Talk complains it sucks and it gets renewed.

For the record, I've only seen the 1st episode and thought it was decent.

I really wanted to like it and it’s the reason I subscribed to CBS All Access, but it has been largely disappointing so far. The best one so far was a remake, and even that was just alright.

Re: Twilight Zone (CBS All Access) -- from producer and host Jordan Peele

It will get a Blu-ray release on Feb 18 though pricey at $46.99 for what looks like a 10 episode season.

Bonus content:
  • “REMEMBERING ROD SERLING” - This all-new documentary takes viewers on a journey into the fertile imagination and the life of The Twilight Zone creator, Rod Serling.
  • “CROSSING OVER: LIVING IN THE TWILIGHT ZONE” – This two part, in-depth documentary chronicles the development and production of Jordan Peele and Simon Kinberg’s modern take on the classic anthology series.
  • Deleted scenes
  • Audio commentary on select episodes (“Replay”, “Not All Men”, and “Blurryman”)
  • Gag reel
  • Full-length version of music video from “The Wunderkind” episode
  • All episodes in black and white

Not worth buying at that price in my opinion. You’d be better off just getting a trial of CBS All Access and binging it.

Re: Twilight Zone (CBS All Access) -- from producer and host Jordan Peele

The episode where all the guys act crazy after a meteor strikes was kind of weak.

Blue Scorpion was ok though maybe
Spoiler:
if he shot himself with the gun that would have been a better ending since it seemed like his dad went crazy when he owned it and shot himself.

Don't remember a lot about the 2002 series but it was probably better and Whittaker was better as the narrator.

The closed captioning is messed up. The first two episodes were ok but the captioning is behind the dialogue or audio on the screen and it was hard to understand Chris O" Dowd and his thick accent.

Tried rewinding and starting over and the problem did not go away

Re: Twilight Zone (CBS All Access) -- from producer and host Jordan Peele

The episode with Ginnifer Goodwin was not that bad.

The one with Greg Kinnear was cheesy as F.

You can stream the episodes on black and white on CBS All Access

One I finish the last 3 episodes I am going to cancel it.

I finished all of them and then cancelled the subscription.

Maybe I might give season 2 a chance if I can watch them all within a month for $5.99 or less.

Edit, wait this is from 2019? I just got an email on it.

If anyone is interested, "Rewatch The First Season Of The Twilight Zone In Black And White Starting May 30".

Personally, I wasn't impressed with this show. There were a couple of really good episodes, but the majority were below average to me. So I might only rewatch a couple of my favorites.

I forgot this even got renewed. The first season was really underwhelming. Unless I hear good things I’ll skip season two.

Common trend with the CBS All Access shows. Discovery and Picard aren’t good and especially not good Star Trek shows either.
