Gamby's Vice Principal at the new school.

Stevie was Danny McBride's sidekick on Eastbound & Down.

I gasped when it turned out to be Stevie. I've been hoping since the show started that he'd turn up somewhere.

This was a great end to this series.

Not bad. Ended pretty much the only way it could have.

Great finale to a great series. I seriously thought Lee bit the dust when Abbot initially shot him.

Next to Banshee and Hannibal it's probably the most underrated show of the decade imho.

Loved it. That tiger eating that ahole trainer--awesomeness. This show was funny in SO many ways. What a great two-season ride.

I like McBride and Jody, I hope they find a 3rd HBO series to work on. I think 2 - 3 seasons is about perfect.

This might be one of the best finales to a show ever. So much craziness and you really had no idea where it was going until the end. Loved the cut to 3 months later and a new school mascot.

The Stevie cameo was fucking great.

So did I. I had heard the show was going to get pretty dark so I bought into it at first but I was still pretty startled by just how dark it got. Even though in hindsight of course Lee wasn't killed, but for a minute there...yeah.

I can't believe how few people know anything about this show. I started re-watching season 1 before season 2 premiered with one of my kids while he was visiting and though he knew nothing of it he was immediately on board. It did get a bit awkward when in one episode Principal Brown showed up late for the flag raising and Lee said to Neal "I bet when she gets up here she smells like fucked buttholes (she passes by) Fucked buttholes."

When Stevie showed up all I could think about is Downs Syndrome Stevie from the series finale. That shit still cracks me up!

That cameo was awesome. Great finale!

I thought the show was almost perfect, short seasons, only two seasons, nothing extra.

Love, love these these short run shows that have everything mapped out, no filler, and just fucking kill it. Just burned through this season in a couple days and was left wanting more but very satisfied.

Walter Goggins absolutely crushed it. Actually most of the actors really inhabited their characters and left an impression. Excellent work all around.

Also the humor is really insane and juvenile yet somehow there's a poignancy. Not sure how McBride does it, makes loathsome scumbags sympathetic.

Totally agree about Goggins. He has a new fan after this. He was perfect in this role.

If you both enjoyed Walton Goggins, be sure to check him out in Justified. An absolutely great series, and he has a legendary performance in it.

Of course, he was also amazing in the Shield.

Re: Vice Principals (HBO) -- The Final Season Thread -- Premieres 9/17/17

^^ I second that.

Loved Vice Principals and I have a feeling it'll be back. Did anybody catch when Stevie was going to close the door to Gamby's office and he said "shall I leave it open or closed?".... Gamby replied with "open". I took that to mean that we might see more of these characters and I really hope so.

I enjoyed the show, was silly at times, not gushing as much as you guys though

And gee it is nowhere on Banshee level

Ture, but wasn't that also a call back to the first episode?
