FYI, if you need to catch up on older seasons of Luther, they are now on Amazon Prime.

Re: Luther -- Season 5 -- BBC America
Season 5 premieres on BBC America tonight. 4 episodes to air weekly.
A new spate of nightmarish murders brings DCI John Luther (Idris Elba) to once again face the depths of human depravity on the streets of London. While the monstrous and seemingly indiscriminate killings become ever more audacious and public, Luther and new recruit D.S. Catherine Halliday (Wunmi Mosaku) are confounded by a complex tangle of leads and misdirection that seems designed to protect an untouchable corruption. As the body count rises, and gangster George Cornelius (Patrick Malahide) applies his own pressure, can Luther catch a killer and save his own neck? Luther is produced by BBC Studios and co-produced with BBC AMERICA. Executive producers are Idris Elba for Green Door Pictures, Neil Cross, Marcus Wilson and Hilary Salmon for BBC Studios and Elizabeth Kilgarriff for the BBC, producer is Derek Ritchie and director is Jamie Payne.

Is season 3 on Amazon Prime edited for profanity or violence? I think something was changed when it used to be on Netflix and my interest waned.

Why would Netflix do that? The only thing I could think of regarding that is that things don't air with commercials on the BBC. When they sell the international rights, they may trim things slightly to fit allotted times. Those same episodes probably got sold to streaming. But I don't think something like Sherlock, for example, was edited.

Just finished Series 5... it was weird. Not sure I liked it.
Alice’s instability is evident. She’s not right in the head... and it shows. Poor Luther.
The storyline with the Lakes was strange. Too eerie for me.
Sad, or rather shocked, at the deaths of the bystanders... 😢.
