This is pretty much Netflix’s last chance to impress me with their original series before I cancel. I can’t think of any from the last couple years that were good enough to justify paying for the subscription.
That at being said, this one looks alright and I’m looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

Looks pretty good. Couldn't help but laugh at the last shot where "Superman" appears to be fighting a giant spider.

This looks great! Cavill is nailing the voice of the video game character. I'm just shocked that they are releasing this around Christmas. I would have waited until January at least.

A lot of people will have time off and be looking for something to watch. The timing seems pretty good to me.

Hopefully this gets dropped all at once for binging but Netflix say that certain tentpole shows were going to get dropped on a weekly basis?

Not terribly impressed by what I've seen so far. It looks like generic fantasy or a video game adaption (which it sort of is, natch).
I haven't read the books, and high fantasy is kind of a hard sell for me. I've really liked Lord of the Rings and A Song of Ice and Fire.
A lot of folks seem to be into it, so I might check it out.

I hope that they at least have a 3 year stopping point that doesn't include cliff-hangers...just in case.
I'm not familiar with the video game source on this, but I never could get into Game of Thrones - probably tried to watch the first episode 4 or 5 times over the years and never could get through it. I'll likely give this a try but I hope it's trying to be its own thing rather than ride the wave of popularity of GoT. I get the feeling Netflix wants awards and accolades for this show so going for knock-off probably won't work.
