Robert A. Wilson has died (5/5/17). Introduced US audiences to Monty Python
Wilson was the father of actors Luke, Owen and Andrew Wilson. He had been battling Alzheimer's for years. Various online obits give his age as 75 or 76. He was in charge of KERA, the public television station in Dallas, and decided it would be the first American station to air Monty Python's Flying Circus. He also hired Jim Lehrer.
Lehrer and Terry Giliam both told Owen they wouldn't be here without Bob Wilson.

Wow. It's so rare to hear about folks like this, not really big names, but still they were there at a pivotal moment in history.
