I'd say it's been like this since mid season 5 for me. Pretty much every other show I watch takes precedence over this. At this point it's pretty much only viewing since I used to like it and to see how bad they massacre the story compared to the comic.

I agree. As far as the episodes dedicated to more of a minor character I thought this was probably the best.

He's being smart and biding his time. He's seen how Negan interacts with Dwight; he knows Negan is a narcissist that will accept what you say as long as he thinks you don't pose a threat and you bow low enough. Like all narcissists, it makes Negan vulnerable because he's a bit naïve and blind to real threats.
