I'll probably give this a shot but for some reason I get a Mr. Robot meets Continuum vibe which might not be the best thing.

Yeah the genre of corporate dystopian future is just not doing it for me anymore.

I noticed the 1st episode was available for viewing on SyFy's app and on demand. But, I'm just going to wait to catch the airing tonight/tomorrow.

I'm in because of Dennis Haysbert. I'm betting Affleck and Damon probably bought the pitch to this show and then helped sell it off to SyFy with their names attached. Other than that, they probably have zero involvement with it creatively.

I was completely burned out on this genre by the late-1990s. It was the mainstay of many cyberpunk style novels + games in those days.

Subsequent novels, films, etc ... seemed like crappy replica of Gattaca.

Other than style not much in common with Gattaca. Didn't expect David Hewlett in a throwaway role.

I've only watched the first ten minutes so far, -I'll watch the rest after work, -but the opening crawl and first scenes suggest this show will have the subtlety of Fifties' VD "Scare" films.

Made it about halfway through - pass. Just completely dull. We've seen this all before.

I pretty much agree. But I'll stick with it a while longer to see where it goes.

Haysbert was there for about 30 seconds, is he one of the stars?

Anyhow I thought it was pretty awful.

I just watched it and don't remember what I watched.

I'm always amused that stories about evil corporations come from one of the biggest "Corporate Towns" in the world, -"Hollywood".

The pilot was vaguely interesting. We've seen corporatized futures before as companies rule over the unwashed hordes.

I'll give it a go as long it remains carefully laid out. Ben infiltrating the company is less intriguing to me than what he plans to do with his wife, when it looks like he has some other love interest he's trying to save from the company.

Re: Incorporated (SyFy) - Season 1 Thread - from EP: Affleck/Damon

2 Hour Season Finale is tonight.

WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 25

INCORPORATED *Extended Season Finale*

"Part 1: Burning Platform, Part 2: Golden Parachute"- 10/9c to 11:40/10:40c

Ben's ongoing investigation leads to a shock; Laura's child patient reveals some sobering facts; and Elizabeth and Julian put their bold plan against Inazagi in motion in the first half of this combined Season 1 finale. In the second half, a thief is discovered; a killer is hunted down; Elizabeth and Laura deal with the fate of the clinic; and Theo makes his way inside the wall.

Has not been renewed for a 2nd season yet.

I guess this show got forgotten here. I'm only 3 episodes in.

I think it's pretty good, but I don't see how the current storyline can be sustained for multiple seasons.

Re: Incorporated (SyFy) - Season 1 Thread - from EP: Affleck/Damon

I was surprised Syfy gave up on Incorporated so quickly considering it was executive produced by Matt Damon and Ben Affleck.

The show must have cost a fortune to not get a second season renewal.

Re: Incorporated (SyFy) - Season 1 Thread - from EP: Affleck/Damon

Show had too many problems. The idea of corporations overtly running the world could be interesting. But they chose to focus on an uninteresting plot of the lead character trying to find/save his girlfriend. It also didn't help that the lead was very hard to route for/ identify with.
