I've been meaning to post that it looks like they dropped the "shaving cream" song bit. At least, I don't remember it in any of the episodes this season yet.

Yup they've definitely dropped it this season. They also do short interviews with the contestants afterward, which I don't think they ever did in the first season (maybe I'm wrong).

The contestant snippets are new, as is the interview with the front-runners prior to the last act. I think they're trying to drum up a little more of an audience connection with the contestants. I do think it's taking a bit more shape as a show, and has a better idea of the acts that the show needs.

It seems that the winning act now is always the first act or near the beginning. I guess I don't get the logic of putting some of the best acts so early in the show.

Also like the first season there a a handful of acts that come out at the end that didn’t make the aired version.

I had a good time with this. Felt like the same light hearted goofy fun that Match game is.
BTW the New Pyramid is so boring, dull and I think it's because of Strahan.
Anyone notice that about a third of the acts that came on stage at the end weren't even performers during the ep including Penn Gillette who came on holding a paper bag.
