Why Letterman? Because they all respect the hell out of him. Why not Leno? Because none of them give two shits about Jay Leno (as a talk show host).

CBS is still showing reruns of Corden, but with Labor Day coming up, I wonder when he will disappear for good. And with the strike, what will CBS put on instead?

The Corden show is still on the schedule for all of Labor Day week so they'll probably keep them going for quite a while.

He was annoying and not as funny as he or his audience thought he was but still prefer standard late night talker over a game show.

I think he was just the first domino to fall, most of the audience for these late night show is aging out due to cord cutting. At some point late night shows will be unprofitable for the networks to run even if they can get cheaper replacement hosts.

I don't find them very appealing anymore. Tho I do weirdly enjoy Seth's program.

Fallon gets a lot of hits and views on his Youtube videos and they still have a following and audience.
