Yeah, the reminders of stuff from the past is pretty good, along with the map/locations of characters. The hosts' pop culture references aren't funny though.

Do you think Arya will get back to Winterfell in time for the battle of the bastards? Will her fighting in the dark skills be of great help?

Yes, I saw that and it doesn't support the arguments you had been making earlier in this thread, that Jaqen set up the whole thing, that the blindness was part of her training for a future showdown with the waif, etc. I haven't argued against what happened on screen, I've argued against your interpretation of it. I've also argued that Arya spending a 2 season arc in Braavos only to decide that she just wants to be Arya was a waste of time, and how lazy the writing was regarding Arya's wounds and the waif disregarding her lifelong assassin training to chase Arya in the middle of a crowded marketplace, etc.

I'm just trying to figure it out like everybody else. Whatever the reason for making Ayra blind, by making her train while blind, being knocked around, the end result was she learned to fight blind from it. Intended or not. I find it hard to believe nobody realized this would happen or notice that it did happen. Unless Ayra hid the fact from them by letting herself be knocked around while blind not letting on.

Still makes little fucking sense that she's walking around like a nose-in-the air highborn with bags of silver and no Needle. Stop making excuses for all of this, people. Arya's story was mishandled. The End.

And she still got stabbed like an imbecile. Enough already, the excuses for this nonsensical plotting are borderline idiotic now.

I just can't stand blind 'fanboyism'. You aren't doing your favorite show/film/ book any favors when make excuses for obvious lapses.

Re: Game of Thrones (S6E08) -- "No One" -- 6/12/16
I'm enjoying the Season but I do feel they have too many storylines going on. It's like anytime a scene gets real interesting, they cut to something else and don't back to it until next episode.

Re: Game of Thrones (S6E08) -- "No One" -- 6/12/16
Will season seven just be seven episodes, or will they take a Sopranos approach and make it two "mini-seasons" with seven each? Given that this is HBO's signature series, I see them milking it for all it's worth. Hell, I wouldn't put it past them to build to a cliffhanger ending next year and then make a surprise announcement it will be wrapped up on a feature film.

I don't mind the pacing of this season at all, nothing really seems that drawn out and things are dealt with pretty quickly. Even stuff like Dany being captured, and then Dany making her way back to Mereen were dealt with pretty quickly, where I'm sure another show would have meandered a bit. And say what you will about Dorne, they moved that out of the way fairly quickly. |

So after the Bastardbowl and whatever happens in the season finale, it's thirteen episodes to wrap up all of the political intrigue and the white walker business. |

Don't you guys think there are prequel and sequel and spin-off possibilities like the Star Wars universe for GoT?

From what I've heard, they're looking a thirteen episodes total; season seven part one will be seven episodes, and season seven part two will be six episodes.

Point being, Even though it would be on HBO, there's no guarantee it'd be a rock solid show that we can all unabashedly love. There's no guarantee new writers would be able to have lightning strike twice. It feels to me that it's all coming to an end. I just hope for a good denouement. |

Yes, we think both are possibilities. But the current show runners are likely done, which is why they want to bring the show to an end in the first place. So you might end up with new show runners, new actors, and new characters. A sequel wouldn't have a roadmap established by GRRM.

This is the first season of GOT that I am not binge viewing and it does play slightly differently week to week. |

With the time left for the show I think her storyline will be confined to confronting The Hound and in King's Landing. Going out on a limb... she uses her assassin skills to get close to Cersei, fights The Mountain and kills him, then Cersei.

I don't see her killing The Hound, she could have done it but didn't after getting to know him. |

Arya's list is shortened, so I don't think there is really anywhere to go with her arc than to kill Cersei. Not sure about Zombie Mountain though.

I don't like that explanation, and if that's Benioff's and Weiss's explanation too then it's poor writing. It doesn't mesh with the established identity and philosophy of the Faceless Men. The inconsistency is frustrating.
