SERIES PREMIERE
CHARISMATIC HUSTLER UNCLE BUCK SHAKES THINGS UP WHEN HE MOVES IN WITH HIS BROTHER'S FAMILY, IN ALL-NEW COMEDY SERIES BASED ON THE HIT FILM
"Pilot" - Uncle Buck (Mike Epps) is a charismatic hustler who has gotten by on his charm for years. But when his brother Will and sister-in-law Alexis move to town and need help with their kids, he steps up to become their "manny." Their lives will never be the same. This all-new comedy series based on the beloved hit film premieres TUESDAY, JUNE 14 (9:00-9:30 p.m. EDT), on the ABC Television Network.
Will (James Lesure) and Alexis (Nia Long) are wary of Buck's questionable parenting skills, but his unique perspective and street smarts provide some unconventional solutions to raising their three rambunctious kids, who typically make a hobby of terrorizing their nannies. Like most teenagers, Tia (Iman Benson) is resentful of her mother and feels neglected when Alexis starts a new job. Miles (Sayeed Shahidi) and Maizy (Aalyrah Caldwell) are wise beyond their years, each with their own common love of pushing boundaries and testing the adults in their lives. Buck will attempt to apply his "know how" from the 'hood, as he transitions to his new life in the 'burbs. But it's definitely going to take more than hustle and charm to win over and earn respect from this family.
"Uncle Buck" stars Mike Epps as Buck, Nia Long as Alexis, James Lesure as Will, Iman Benson as Tia, Sayeed Shahidi as Miles and Aalyrah Caldwell as Maizy.
Guest starring are Regina Hall as Jackie King, Tony T. Roberts as Cy, BJ Mitchell as Jordan, Sonje Fortag as Irena, Natalie Palamides as Amy, Ben Zelevansky as Derrick, Ryan Kelly Coil as the valet, Carrie Barrett as Korin, Ken Narasaki as Mr. Tagahashi, Kristin O'Meara as the buyer, Hudson Borthwick as the teen, and Lila Claghorn as the ticket agent.
"Pilot" was written by Steven Cragg & Brian D. Bradley. Phil Traill directed. Will Packer, Cragg and Bradley are executive producers of the series. Co-executive producers are Korin Hughes, Kenny Smith, Michael Pennie and Franco E. Bario. The series is produced by Universal Television and ABC Studios.

Re: Uncle Buck (ABC) -- Series Thread -- S: Mike Epps
I watched both new episodes last night. Not very funny if you have ever seen any sitcom ever. Mike Epps was pretty good, but it is almost an exact copy of "Blackish" with elements of "Modern Family" and "The Middle" thrown in. With strategic scheduling, I'm sure this will be a huge hit.

Totally forgot this premiered last night, will have to see if they run them again later this week or catch them on-demand.

I thought this was pretty terrible. The acting especially stuck out to me as being particularly bad.
It was like they took the upper-middle class family from Black-ish and just added a stereotypical black character to it.
