Oh right - none of the leader guys. So the minion guys, they can be brought back to life by the main Walker right? Like what happened at the wildling camp.

If you have the dragonglass (or Valyrian Steel), the white walkers go down pretty easy. Just a simple stab, it would seem.

Imagine the poignancy of hearing Hodor say his signature catchphrase in the earlier seasons now...

I had forgotten that Sam had given Meera some dragon glass before they went across the wall.

Didn't Stannis find a way to halt (but not completely cure) the grayscale infection for Shireen? He's gone, of course, but I wonder if that will come into play somehow.

I wanted to add that I've ended up really liking Yara, and I hope she kills the fuck out of her uncle.

as far as i can tell from what the show has shown, it's a one time get-out-of-dead-free card. after that you're dead dead, not mostly dead, all dead.

Ahh okay - yeah it was the dead wildlings that were brought in as part of the army, not the already eliminated minions.

With things coming to a head, I don't see how they have time to sit around and build 1,000 ships. Seems to me events will sweep them by as they are on ship 187 or so.

I still think Dany gets across the sea using the ships the one master had previously offered her. One of the master's told Tyrion that he offered her thousands of ships to go if she would just GO.

Yeah, the islands don't seem to have enough people or wood to build that many ships. How long would it take them to build a thousand ships? 10 years?

Funny you say that...I was thinking a thinner version of Zach Galifianakis. Because he's fat.

During his first appearance on the dark rainy rope bridge, I thought he looked like Stephen Lang. I was surprised to find that, once I saw him in full light, he doesn't look anything like Lang.

if he is able to interact with the past, perhaps when he enters the tower of joy, he trips and falls into his aunt, cue yakety sax, and B+L=J

Re: Game of Thrones (S6E05) -- "The Door" -- 5/22/16

Some thoughts:

Sansa giving Baelish hell for what she went through because of him (yay and finally!). Oddly enough, she doesn't tell Jon that Littlefinger gave her the information about the Tullys.

Tormond's continued flirtation with Brienne - still awesome.

The Children of the Forest created the medieval equivalent of Armageddon and set it loose upon the world. I thought it would be interesting though that when killed, a dragonglass shard would be left behind from the disintegrated White Walker. Now that they (the Children) seem to be all dead, I suppose it is up to Bran to figure out how to stop the White Walkers for good.

While I thought the play ran on a bit long, it did seem to get to the heart of the issue with Arya. I imagine if she were no one, a girl would not feel anything at all watching it.

As has been commented on already, there already is a treatment that prevents the spread of stonescale, thanks to Stannis. The only people who could conceivably know that would be Ser Davos or Melisandre, which likely means a homecoming for Jorah, back to Bear Island.

I hope he's hiding it, because it would make more sense that Euron had the dragon taming horn - possibly to wrest control of the dragons from Dany?

Interesting conversations taking place between religion and secular government. First the Sparrow with the Lannisters and Tyrells, and now with Kinvara and Tyrion and Varys. Not sure how these will play out but am very interested to see how they unfold.

The part that bothered me though was that apparently Bran can alter the past. Time travel plot devices (to me) are an easy way out from an otherwise intractable problem. I hope it doesn't become a major factor in the story.

If Melisandre knows it, then there's a good chance that other red priestesses know the cure as well. But I agree he's probably heading towards Melisandre. That or Oldtown, to see if the Maesters have a cure.

That would definitely be more like an Iron Islander to take the dragons, rather than try to gain control through marriage.

I'm not so sure - I understood that the research and treatment were Stannis' doing. Since Ser Davos was with him far longer than Melisandre was, and he (Ser Davos) knew Shireen very well, it seems likely to me that he might know about the treatment first hand, especially because it's likely he had to get the materials together.

Or, it could be something the red clerics or Maesters know.

I'm hoping the Night's King will be killed by Jaime Lannister. So for the rest of his life he'll proudly be known as the Kingslayer.

He'd have to fight tormund first to get to brienne and have her give back oathkeeper.

Where the hell is joffrey's widow's wail? Buried with him I suppose?

What's keeping ser Davos at the wall? He could just book it outta there, no?
