No. Whatever Arrow is doing I want this show to go the opposite way. Arrow has gotten so fucking awful to watch because of that need to make shit gritty.

It's pretty much a guarantee at this point that the man in the iron mask is really his pop as the earth-2 original flash.

Speaking of, why hasn't Team Flash called on Team Arrow to help out? I mean Zoom running amok affects everyone, not just Central City.

I'm pretty sure that having a nuke thingy and bubble around your shit is a handful. Besides, Not much Arrow can do against Zoom.

No idea what you're talking about since I don't keep up with Arrow, but I think a team of heroes could still come up with some kind of plan of action. They did manage to help kill an immortal (Vandal Savage) if only temporary.

Do you work as a writer on some shit reality show on Bravo or something? Have you not received a raise in years? Man, you must really hate your job. You seem so miserable whenever you articulate anything on TV, especially comic shows.

Also, the man in the mask has to be E2Henry at this point. There's no one else left that it could be. It has to be a character we know otherwise there would be no need for the mask.

When it comes to DC, the dark and gritty shit is pulled off so terrible. Talk to me after I see Captain America in a few hours and you'll probably see me excited and thrilled for when it's done right.

I think DC has been trying to compensate for how campy the 70's and early had their heroes in a sort of fun way by making everything so dark and... not fun.

Flash s1 was pretty good with that fun aspect.

Show still Sophmore slumping for me

And if they make Wally a speedster, that's the Jump the shark moment (the Laurel Black Canary type mistake)

I really am sick of speedsters in this show

Spoiler:
He was a speedster in the comics though so it's pretty much given that he will be here at some point. Same with Jesse.

If you're sick of speedsters, I don't think this is the show for you.

You aren't using jumping the shark correctly. Just because you don't like something doesn't mean it is jumping the shark. Jumping the shark is when a show does something completely silly for the show. Wally becoming a speedester isn't silly for the show. Oddly enough Wally not becoming a speedsters would be more silly than if he did for reasons already posted in spoilers.

Personally I would rather not have a bunch of speedsters because I think they have a hard enough time writing for one. However, Young Justice pulled it off really well so maybe they can also.

Also I'm not sold on the actors that play Wally and Jessie yet. I don't hate them and the main things I don't like about now is how they have been used. I actually liked them in this episode though.

The entire premise of The Flash is speedsters.

Re: The Flash (S2E20) -- "Rupture" -- 5/3/16

Yeah i know but you need some variety in the villians

The guy playing Wally is so unappealing, almost Jaden Smith unappealing, that i just don't want to see him with a bigger role

And bringing the Iris romance angle back into the mix is also painful

They have some great cast (Barry, Caitlin, Cisco , wells and the cop dad) and some bloody aweful casting (Iris and wally)

Re: The Flash (S2E20) -- "Rupture" -- 5/3/16

Off-topic but, with Flash, Supergirl and Legends ending their seasons, I introduced my daughters to Smallville last week. We're already 2/3rds of the way through season 1 and I'm surprised how many nods or references to a bigger universe were there from the beginning. In the first season alone there were references to Queen Industries missing CEO, Central City, Cadmus and something about Lionel bankrolling a particle accelerator. Pretty cool.

At any rate, kinda fun going back through it.

After great comic book shows like Arrow and The Flash, I think it would be sheer torture to watch Smallville. Introduce them to Superman: The Animated Series, which has an awesome Lex Luthor and Lois Lane. I'd even call them the definitive modern versions of those respective characters.

Why do I have the feeling that Batman V Superman would have turned out much differently if someone had forced Snyder to watch Superman: The Animated Series on loop?

Probably not. Snyder's Watchmen was slavishly close to the source material, and look how that turned out.

It's really not. It's the same kind of 'fun' as Flash with a fantastic cast. At least so far. All the concussions haven't started happening yet. The only real drawback so far is the procedural nature. There's not even a hint of a larger plot other than Lex's determination to figure out his car crash. That's where modern shows have spoiled things, the pacing.

The kids already asked when he flies. I had to break it to them that he won't.

Making this Flash related, it'd be fun to see John Glover guest in a role. He was always one of the best things about Smallville.

Every season of Smallville starts off strong and ends strong. The middle is were it bogs down with a two/three episode spike in quality around midseason. That show would have definitely benefited from 13 episode season.

Yeah, I've already begun pondering whether or not to skip season 4 altogether or Google which episodes would be pertinent to the big picture.

Also, are your daughters big Supernatural fans? That was the Jensen Ackles season.

9 & 11 (soon to be 10 & 12) so that would be a negative ghostrider.

Re: The Flash (S2E20) -- "Rupture" -- 5/3/16

Smallville is the ultimate tease and it only got away with it for so many seasons because there was no superhero competition of note

Kristin Kreuk was good enough eye candy, but it wasn't even about Clark become Superman, it was the lack of action and the dragging out of the soppy rubbish

Still for a young girl, Smallville would be a decent watch because they would like the soppy rubbish

Some silly sub-plot where Lana becomes a witch or something.
