The time travel explanation was just like that one episode where they tried to explain how destroying one of the bombs destroyed them all. I love the show, but man, it'd be so much more with some better writers.

Time Travel. My Mantra is "Don't over think it, just go with the flow".
Thus I was able to enjoy this episode with the Reverse-Flash.
Also nice to see Tina McGee again. Glad they haven't forgotten about her.
Sad to see Patty go. She and Barry had some vibes together.

The comics have been pretty firm in depicting the Speed Force existing independently outside our space and time, which solves many problems involving time travel.

Patty!
At least Barry manned up in costume to her, even though he didn't give her a good explanation.
I thought Well's explanation was good until he drew on the board. Then his scribbles didn't line up with what he just explained. I thought he was going to show that a version of Thawne must have been in the Speedforce slipstream when the murder/assassination occurred. Except that's not what he scribbled.

This show, man. Awesome! I wish post 5 didn't ruin the Zoom reveal for some of us.
Patty, you will be missed. Bloated cast or not, she was always good to have around.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure I followed what he was saying just fine but the drawing didn't match up with what he was saying at all. At any rate, I like the explanation.
So that explanation basically means you aren't erased from existence. You still live your life from point A to point Z and regardless of where you are in the timeline, you still die at Z. Good. I like it, kind of a different take on paradoxes. Right?
HOW the fuck EVER... Cisco was being erased from existence, a direct contradiction to what Harry was describing.
Unless I'm interpreting all that wrong.

Hunter Zolomon showing up could mean that Barry (and maybe Wally) are going to visit Gorilla City sometime in the near future. (At least I hope that's the case)

I don't know about Gorilla City in the near future, but this is coming in a few weeks.

I didn't mind the time travel explanation in this one, and liked the idea that we were seeing the Reverse Flash's origin story. My only wish was that they had dumped some of the Legends of Tomorrow setup and had a few more episodes fleshing this out instead.
Only thing that gets me is when someone says something like, "Barry, all you need to do is race up to the point of time travel and then throw him through." As though there's any sort of baseline for what that means.
And Barry just says, "OK, sure."

Sooo...in this TV version of these characters why aren't the Reverse Flash and Zoom villains focused on each other? They seem to both want to be "the fastest or most powerful speedster".
If I were Barry talking to the Reverse Flash I would be like..."Dude, there's this thing called Zoom who is faster than both of us and he called your mother a whore..."

I thought that the Reverse Flash's origin speech was a bit wanting...
Was I the only one who had to hit the 'net to figure out what was going on in this episode?
