They'd been banging since season 7 and it's hardly some kind of new revelation. Fans knew of it during the original run.

The entirety of season 3 and that X-Files wrapup episode were not good. Since Spielberg and Lucas can go back and get do-overs on their stuff, the producers should disown everything besides seasons one and two. Season 2 finale was terrific and makes a great series finale.

Or maybe they could get JJ Abrams to come in and have it open with Frank Black waking up saying, "Wow, wasn't that a weird, drug-induced dream that happened after the events of the season 2 finale?" and go from there.

Um, a shipper is someone who ships? If it has another meaning, I'm not aware of it, and don't know why I should. FWIW, I've been watching X-Files from day one - though I stopped sometime during season 7.

It's short for "relationship." Fans of the Mulder and Scully relationship were 'shippers.' Pretty sure it was coined because of X-Files.

Never heard that before. Also, I was ardently against them hooking up from day-one. It was actually them getting more romantically involved which made me bail on the show. Such a dumb idea.

I first heard the "ship" term from my tween niece. A "shipping" name would be a combination like Skulder or Mully, or TomKat, etc.

If anybody noticed or cared, I saw two actors that had recently been in the Showcase/SyFy series Continuum.

No shipping knowledge necessary.

We actually had a discussion about the term "Shipper" recently

http://forum.dvdtalk.com/tv-talk/628...l#post12601677

It's casually dropped in post 56; someone was confused by wtf it meant and then it was on from there. Sides were taken.

I was like you tho. Had no idea what the hell it meant and was pretty shocked that not only was it a thing, it was a thing that should have been well known

Then why do you know so little about the show?

What, that I didn't know what the term "shipper" meant, a term never uttered in the show itself?

Liked that one a lot more than that clunky opener.

Missed this when it aired, but just caught it on the Fox app. Much better than the trainwreck of the premiere. I'm really looking forward to the Morgan written episode queued up now.

I think the rest of us secretly wish we weren't so seeped in fandom that we know shit like 'shipper'. Good for you slop.
