That is not a surprise, Disney/Marvel has a corporate push to reach out their Marvel brand to girls/young women. They think the male market for superheroes is already saturated and the real money in children's merchandising is aimed at girls. If Disney has brought one thing to Marvel, it's a long-term corporate vision focusing on a much different audience than the traditional comic book market.

That's nice, but kind of irrelevant to why I bring it up. My point is that it's not like the show or Marvel is pushing an unpopular character, as even the threads here have been mostly filled with people that have nothing but positive things to say. In fact, I don't think i've heard any one voice displeasure for the character in these weekly threads until now.

The fans unhappy with a primary character are usually weeded out by season three. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy as fans unhappy with the show's direction have generally stopped watching by now. I don't have much problem with May, I simply think Mutant Enemy has wasted far too much screen time on her background. It's a similar problem to what Marvel did with Wolverine, though at least he had been a popular character for years before they went in that direction.

That said, I agree the Andrew stuff so far this season is something that didn't really need to be extended. Hopefully there's a surprise or interesting payoff.

I also like May. I haven't found the one or two episodes that they've had focusing on her and her backstory as that bad.

I've grown to despise Daisy.
For being the most junior member of the team, she has become arrogant, snotty and thinks she knows better than anyone, including Coulsen.
