So Flash is no better than Arrow now? I thought the whole point of The Flash was that he wasn't a vigilante? I never saw him as a murderer, someone who ran around dispensing justice. All he did was arrest criminals and hand them over to the police. If this is where we're at, what was the whole point of season 1? (especially his whole meeting with Arrow?)

Why are you so thoroughly convinced Sand Demon is dead? His cells were transformed and locked in stasis; not necessarily dead.

Atom Smasher absorbed energy. He absorbed enough to take him down. Not necessarily dead either.

Saying he's "just like Arrow" now is a bit myopic.

So was this episode "Joyless" for you?

I suppose nobody is ever truly dead in comics if there isn't a body (and even then) but Barry says he has no other choice but to kill them to keep them from harming others. The Flash I read would never do that. I admit I haven't kept up with the comic lately. Has something changed radically in the character I'm unaware of?

As for the episode, I thought it was pretty good overall, I like the multiverse stuff. I'm always up for the classic DC stuff. I especially liked it when Cisco said, "I hate it when they add a color in their name".

I was a bit disappointed in the recreated FLASH #123 cover scene.
Why? Because Jay didn't have his speed.
I know it was indoors so quickness would not be a factor. But It seem wasted to me.

Maybe later in the season when Jay has his speed they can do outdoor version of Flash #123.

My wife was sitting on the couch reading when Cisco said he got "goosies" and she laughed pretty hard at that.

I'm not sure he "killed" the sand guy by turning him into glass. I mean, come on the guy's cells had transformed into something silicon-like so we don't know what really happened to him.

Super-villains never die, they just get new costumes.

I kind of expected the Sand Demon to be Sandy Hawkins. Their powers are pretty similar. And since they used Atom Smasher as a villain, it feels like it would make sense to have other "Mirror Mirror" versions of Earth 2 heroes.

Now that Central City has access to the Multiverse, I am beginning my never-ending crusade to get Hoppy the Marvel Bunny on this series. He'd be a huge hit with kids.Hoppy is a talking bunny with the powers of Captain Marvel.

May have to be retitled "Hoppy, the Shazam Bunny."

What, no Tawny?

Mxyzptlk and Bat-Mite too much to ask for? (I know it's more likely for Mxyzptlk to show up on Supergirl than here and anything Batman, no chance).

I'd previously only heard that term used by Jennifer Lopez on American Idol.

Flash is definitely the best superhero show

Plenty of cool characters, loved Jay Garrick

I prefer Gotham but Flash is really good as well. Definitely the one with the most comic book feel.

I suspect Supergirl might give it a run for it's money. The pilot is pretty solid.

Pishaw. Supergirl is for girls (I'll watch it anyways tho, I really wanted that WW series)...

I really hope Mxyzptlk shows up in Supergirl...

I suspect a magical villain like Mxyzptlk won't make it to air on CBS.

this ep

All the open Multiverse talk was awesome and pretty much a dream come true. Seeing Jay was an other dream come true since I'm a huge JSA fan. I've been getting so many DC faves over the last couple years on these shows it's been amazing.

Re: The Flash (S2E02) -- "Flash of Two Worlds" -- 10/13/15

Re-watch this today and the only thing that bugs me is how in the hell did Jay Garrick survived 6 months in Central City of Earth 1? I mean, technically he's homeless, unemployed and powerless. Yet he seems to be in great health, eating food, having clothes, money and a roof to sleep in. Plus a nice camera to stalk all the Flash cast members.

Also I think we were given a hint in this episode of who Zoom is

Spoiler:

When Professor Stein is explaining the whole multiple worlds theory, he mentions that Joe may be something else, like a Physicist, on Earth 2. For some reason I feel that's a hint by the show runners that Joe West is Zoom on Earth 2, especially with the whole father/sons theme this season.

I think the hint about Poppa being Zoom in that episode were less slamming over your head than they were in the past episodes. If it's not him, I'd be really really surprised.

Maybe it'll turn out to be that Zoom is actually Martian Manhunter.

I suppose it's possible there's a Jay on Earth 1 with the same credit cards and PINs and Jay was just committing identity theft.
