Yeah, Marge aka Julie Kavner has changed the most. I looked it up and of the main cast she is the oldest. Dan Castellaneta and Nancy Cartwright are both 67 and Yeardley Smith is 60. I think Homer, Bart, and Lisa still sound relatively close. Homer’s voice is different though.

So losing Milhouse as a character. I'd be more upset if the show was still any good. They have enough audio data considering the hundreds of recorded episodes to reasonably emulate the classic voices with AI. I expect something like that happens once the primary cast members call it quits.

Now renewed through season 40.

I'm guessing some of the lead voice actors will retire or be replaced.

I have always loved The Simpsons. Even the worst episodes are better than most TV. My kids have the last few seasons streaming on Disney+ all the time. They prefer it to the old stuff. Part of it is the animation, partly the references, but they like the freshness of it. They love the classics, but it's fun to have my kids introduce me to The Simpsons, in a way!

The spring of The Simpsons has become the summer of The Simpsons in our house. More episodes, please!

I still find it comforting despite being in my 40s now.

As a huge Simpsons fan since the Ullman days, I've sincerely tried giving the show a fair chance these past 5-10 years with multiple attempts. It will be better off when they run AI to create episodes based off the show's prime era.
800 episodes is quite an accomplishment.

There's a couch gag on this episode on Disney Plus through Canada, but it's missing in the US. Archiving both versions just because (the Canadian one also has an audio description track while the US one doesn't.)

I was in love from around season 3 to season 10. I still watch.
My best understanding is that it has the same quality it has always had. I don't have the feels for it. The same way you still love your partner long after the butterfly feelings are gone.
Futurama is still great too. But the feelings mostly ended with the Comedy Central finale.
I am attracted to something newer to relive those feelings. Usually I have to pay for it. But it keeps me happy.
Matt Groening had a really good episode on Marc Maron's WTF podcast. Revealed a few things I never knew.
