Season 16, Episode 19 - Cricket’s Candy Creations

What a total failure of a pitch! I’ve seen some people who didn’t know their numbers on this show, but this lady didn’t know her profit! Even worse, she didn’t even understand the general question the Sharks were asking about profit! They had to ask 3 or 4 times.

and no, not Cricket from Always Sunny

It was a total disaster.

"I'm not good with numbers."

Shark Tank moves to Wednesdays for Season 17...Anybody still watch this?

Robert Herjavec was on GMA today.
Turns out he's been with DWTS Kym Johnson for ten years now...

Pete Davidson trying to sell socks was funny.

I do. It's good background noise and I learn about new products. Finally got the pizza cupcakes I saw on there before. Sadly they are pretty small but tasted ok.

Season 17, Episode 6

Tantos pasta chips. Something was bothering me about that mustache chef guy.

And then he said he was almost ready to start his own restaurant in 2019, but then covid happened, so that derailed his plans.

Covid didn’t really hit the US until Feb/March 2020. Damn chef is a liar about why his restaurant plans failed in 2019. And I would find it hard to believe he forgot the covid year. Everyone remembers 2020!

I don't watch this anymore, but maybe he was planning his restaurant in 2019 and aiming for a 2020 opening? I personally know a few restaurateurs and opening a restaurant is really slow, drawn-out process. There's a lot of planning, building/remodeling, financing, licensing, zoning, and all kinds of other stuff that takes time and cause delays. I'd say that, for most, you're probably looking at a year from staring the process to serving customers.

Fair enough, I was maybe thinking his restaurant plans failed for other reasons, which he doesn’t want to mention to the sharks (aka poor business decisions)

Surprised this show is still on the air. I guess it costs nothing for ABC and generates a little extra cash for the sharks' portfolios.

A new taqueria just opened up at the local shopping center here.
Applied for permit in 2021 or 2022 so it's taken at least three years.
Part of the delay: City government shakeup delayed approvals,
plus having to install new sewer lines, etc. as it used to be a GameStop.
