Or the resolution of the Sands plot allows Brian to get the antidote. Btw, if Mora tightened his grip on the NZT supply - how much does the FBI have?

Interesting. So now we have Sands going after Morra's people while the FBI is going after both. Should be an interesting as hell finale.

I'm guessing that Sands becomes Brian's primary antagonist going forward.

I haven't watched this show, but I can't wait for next week, due to a certain limo driver's appearance.

This may be my favorite new show of the season. Loved the Legion of Whom meeting in the volcano. My biggest question is why didnt he just has Mora for another shot? Even in betraying him, he was still helping Mora out.

Easily my favorite new show of the season. Such a pleasant surprise. Can't wait for the squad's return next fall.

Apparently not. If it was Sands who has Mora's associates killed, and not Mora himself, it helped Mora because now there's nobody to link Mora to. The permanent immunity plus instant exit was awfully plot convenient. Other people could have had access to it too. No way she's had time to really test the "permanent" part, so I bet Brian has problems next season.

Nice way to wrap it all up. I doubt Sands is dead. I am sure he will be back.

Re: Limitless (CBS) -- Season 1 Thread -- Premieres 9/22/15

By itself, the finale worked as an episode. The very neat solutions it offered up to story threads that had taken all season to develop were unsatisfying for the most part. It felt like a season finale written for a show that had been told by the network we need to see what next season will look like for a renewal.

Unceremoniously killing off Sands felt like a budget dump mandated by the network. Cue Piper showing up in time for Fall sweeps next season, only to disappear again.

I loved this show! So well written, funny, while not being all grimdark. I will be so bummed out of this isn't renewed. I don't think I laughed out loud more at anything on television this year than Limitless.

It felt like a season finale that doubled as a series finale.

Definitely. I think a better, albeit more dour cliffhanger type ending would have been if during the kiss with Piper when things started to shine white, if it would have faded back in to a mental hospital with Brian sitting comatose and staring at the wall because of his NZT side effects. I really thought the Piper stuff at the end with everything wrapped up perfectly was a figment of his imagination.

I'm not disappointed at all though.

Re: Limitless (CBS) -- Season 1 Thread -- Premieres 9/22/15

Creatively, the show was an unqualified success in its first season. While I didn't think all of the clever sight gags and fourth wall breaking worked every time, it was refreshing to see happen on a CBS show.

I don't think much of Rebecca as the show's primary female character and I thought her connection to Brian was lacking over the season. He had more of a relationship with Mike and Ike, two joke characters. That is going to be a problem in the long run for Limitless.

Any ending where someone says "mental hospital":

Fine, psych ward of a regular hospital

As it stands, his abuse of NZT had no negative consequences and everything was wrapped up too tidily.

We don't know if Sands is dead. Rebecca said he was critically injured and might not survive.

Also, anyone think Rebecca might be on NZT? That's the only way she could have beaten Sands, and we know she has an addictive personality from the last time she took it.

Along with The Magicians this is my favorite new show. Let's hope they can keep it up next season.

Loved the ending- "Darrel" is now part of the team.

Bad News. Not official yet, but according to Deadline.com Limitless is expected to be cancelled.

CBS Studios will try to shop it elsewhere.

That's awful! I loved this show! Fun, intelligent, not-grimdark, I'll be so bummed if this ends up a one season wonder.

Honestly, this never felt like a CBS show. It would have done better on a younger skewing network.

I get it though, Limitless doesn't really fit the mold of typical CBS.

Hopefully Hulu or Netflix gets a hold of it.

Well there's a blow to smart, fun, and well thought out programming on network TV. I was so surprised at how good it was.

Re: Limitless (CBS) -- Season 1 Thread -- Premieres 9/22/15

I am most displeased. This was probably my favorite new show this year along with Lucifer. At least that got picked up. I hate CBS so much. They let shit like CSI and NCIS run for 100's of years but a good show that may not get the highest ratings but is creative, fun, and different is killed.
