Heat worthy shootout, the rest of it was still kind of meh..

Yeah, but at least it wasn't as weird as Carmela in Cold Cuts.

I thought my cable was having issues that night.

If Vaughn is going for the least intimidating bad guy ever than he is nailing the part.

Great shootout scene. I like everything about this season, I'm even ok with Vince Vaughn, but I just can't get myself to care about the main story. This event may be a game changer though.

I've enjoyed it all too, but does that shootout scene even really "mean" anything? Sure, they killed the guy suspected of the murder, but I figured that was sort of a red hearing anyways.

Not for W. Earl Brown's character. Though who wasn't expecting him to get hit when the shooting started.

Yep. That just felt weird.

Addendum: I am still not sure why I should care at this point. I'm thinking this is going to be a fail season. My disclaimer is I never said I would stop watching (I have no life), just there is still no vested interest.

I suspect our three main cops weren't supposed to survive it. It feels like someone went for a neat nuclear option.

the mayor with his "let's be careful out there" is a likely suspect.

i don't think it is a horrible show, but it continues to feel like a series of scenes, some cool some eh, that don't feel like a connected story is being told.

i haven't checked imdb, but i think the mayors daughter is the reporter from the Bridge.

i always weep for tv cops that go into raids with only sidearms and 2 backup magazines.

Shootout was well done, but as already stated, it was meaningless. All that will come out of it is how they weren't prepared, or how they bungled what should've been an easy thing, or how maybe they were set up. Either way, the show's really dragging it's feet. Also, I want to fall asleep every time Vince Vaughn has a scene, beyond being miss-cast, he's just not good here.

And another thing, while the plot and characters are sub-par compared to last season, the dialog is also pretty bad. Last season, the slow parts were fine, because the dialog had a snap to it. Everything out of these characters' mouths is so dull.

I love that they gave us another season but it is not working. I can't help to think that Fargo is coming soon. I have way more confidence in their attempt.

Great episode! Man, they lit 6th street up!

I just fucking realized that Rachel looks like my ex. Same body type, height, and that freakin' messy bobby cut minus the ombre two-tone dye job.

We're halfway there. four episodes left! Oh, and the alcoholic detective got it the worst.

The dialogue and delivery had a soap opera quality to it this episode. The only really good part of the episode was the badass shootout. W. Earl's death was so sudden and awesome, lol.

Wonder if the next ep will fast forward a bit?

That last 15 minutes was fantastic. Total bloodbath. Probably some of the most intense TV I've seen recently. Those were some crazy ass Mexicans.

Poor Dixon. Helps organize the operation and then gets his head blown off.

Every time I see Semyon's wife, it looks like her gigantic boobs are about to pop out of her blouse. Especially when they ran out of that building after the explosion and he told her to get back in.

Frank is a little desperate now trying to muscle extra money out of that apartment complex.

That gun fight was a total bloodbath. Death toll meter is over 9000.

I can't even give an honest opinion on this show. I spent my whole time on my cell phone during the episode. I either need to go back to the beginning and force myself to watch undistracted, or I should just drop the show altogether.

I mean really... they couldn't have had ONE other cop survive besides our 3 main characters? And the backup conveniently shows up when the last bad guy is killed.
