Surprised that Ahsoka made it out of that alive. I really thought she was a goner in this episode.
And, how cool would it have been for Ezra to have actually gone off with Maul for training? They could have really explored the Grey Jedi concept had they gone in that direction. But I guess that's all a little too heavy for a Disney show.

This was a pretty solid episode. I especially liked the ending. Ezra displayed his affinity for the dark side. Plus now he has the Sith Holocron. Kanan has been blinded. Who knows what kind of shape Ahsoka is in after her battle with Vader.

This whole season really took it up a notch from the first, and this finale was just amazing. When
first showed up, I was like "does nobody else recognize him? He's right frickin there!

Vader coming down on top of his TIE was great. Dispatching all three inquisitors was pretty rough...wonder who the main enemy will be next season?

Oh, so Maul first re-appeared in "The Clone Wars" series?
I guessed that it was him, but my kids were very surprised when he took off his hood.
Very good ep. Looking forward to see where they go with the Force users on the show.

He was in a lot of Clone Wars eps. Sort of played second fiddle to his brother who was an even bigger badass than he was.

I wonder if, now that Kanan is blinded, the series will turn a corner and become darker and more mythological-based instead of the caper-of-the-week stuff it's tilted heavily toward so far. I'm assuming this will stick for a while. Sort of hope it does since it's an interesting development and to give him artificial eyes or some kind of Geordi LaForge device would be a cop-out.
One quibble is that when Kanan was blinded by Maul that I wasn't quite sure what had happened. Looked like Maul threw a flashbang or something in his face; I really wasn't expecting an eye-slashing by lightsaber. Even though it wasn't graphically depicted, it was, in concept, more gruesome than anything Rebels has shown until now.
Also loved the shot of Vader riding on top of his TIE fighter.
Hope season three maintains the tone and pacing of this episode.

Posiibly. But the force ghost stuff is mostly still an unknown at this stage, with Yoda and Obi Wan working on what Qui Gonn only partially accomplished. I know Anakin becoming one throws a whole wrench in it though. That'll just be an ongoing glaring continuity error unless they figure out an explanation one day.

Even if she was a force ghost why would she show up for no one and not say Ezra or Kanan. Unless there was a sith lord she really needed to talk to in the temple more so than her friends her being a force ghost makes zero sense.

Why does everyone turn into a fucking force ghost now?
Never happened during the prequels until a throwawy line of dialog from Yoda to Obi-Wan about Qui-Gon finding a way to communicate after death, and then everyone turns into a blue sparkly ghost now?
It's like George Lucas was so busy trying to fuck up the prequels that he forgot about that particular plot point and stuck in a shitty explanation during a reshoot.
