I hope they reveal Paige's secret next episode; they've been dragging that out.
Funny ep, though. I liked Evan running through Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle names when he was trying to name painters.

I thought it was kind of fitting to see the dorky doctor date of Divya order himself an Appletini.
I thought the Nanny might jump Hank's bones and punch him while she's on top.

Kind of a lackluster summer finale, IMO.

Re: Royal Pains -- Winter Premiere -- "A Farewell to Barnes" -- 1/18/12
Didn't see a thread for the most recent episode, so I thought I'd bump this one instead to ask about something that bothered me:
In the latest episode (Feb. 1), Divya and Jill are first on the scene of an accident where a guy gets run through by a metal pole. A serious, life-threatening injury, obviously. When the women arrive, Divya takes command and makes all the medical decisions and gives Jill orders. And after using a certain medical term to describe the victim's condition, Divya makes a point of explaining what the term means to Jill. Divya performs a very risky maneuver to remove the pole from the victim so they can get him to the hospital. Jill pretty much just stands by the whole time and waits for Divya to tell her to hold this, or move that.
Isn't Jill a full-fledged medical doctor? And Divya is a PA--a Physician's Assistant. I realize that Jill is a hospital administrator and so maybe she isn't directly practicing medicine these days, and physician's assistants are well-educated and highly-trained professionals. But still, it seemed really off for that scene to play out the way it did--as though Jill was a non-medical person who was assisting "Doctor" Divya.
I know I really shouldn't try to analyze a show like this, and normally I don't. But this time it really seemed like such a... disingenuous scene that was written that way just to provide Divya with redemption after botching the treatment of Fez. Does anyone have a better explanation for why that scene was the way it was?

I was too busy saying they should have left him to die after what he did anyway. Didn't deserve their help.

Aah, okay then. I really thought that they had portrayed Jill as an experienced M.D. before, but I guess not.

Great; annoying Evan again. I hope this "feuding concierge doctor" crap goes away quick, although with the contracts signed by the other doctors, I don't imagine there will be an easy solution to this.
Will this problem lead to Eddie R. coming back?
Hopefully Boris will be back and put an end to the crap. Maybe buy Evan's shares, get the business back to Hank, and Evan can take his money and split. A guy can hope, can't he?

Eh, I'm seriously considering giving up on the show. I don't want to see the Hank and Evan compete and snipe all season, just for the teary reunion at the end.

It was nice seeing Divya back, though.

Me too. The Hank vs. Evan plotlines on this show always seem so contrived. I was really hoping for something more interesting in the season premiere.

But his brother is probably going to save him.
