The thing that most sticks out most in my mind about placing Magnum P.I. in Hawaii is his friend with the helicopter who gave tours of the islands.

I think there might be a new potential super champ on Jeopardy now. Contestant almost had a runaway on 5/3 with over $22k going into Final Jeopardy and over $35k going into Final Jeopardy on 5/4.

Re: Jeopardy! Discussion
It wasn't a complete runaway today due to a challenger wagering $7k on a late Daily Double, but the current champ won again with a total over $34k. It will be interesting to see how long the streak will last.

Jeopardy! Masters last night.
I thought the Ozymandias question was ridiculously easy for a "Masters" Final Jeopardy. That's like a $200 question.
Andrew He easily handled Amy Schneider, and James Holzhauer put down Sam Buttrey and even tanked(?) the FJ to joke on Ken. Andrew He got more questions right than James, and, unsurpisingly, James landed on all of the Double Jeopardys. Matt Amodio is still outclassed, and Mattea is still adorkable. Still a game for the grown-ups.

She got lucky tonight. Missed an easy Final Jeopardy but the second place contestant made a really poor wager resulting in a loss of the game. She should have wagered either $8800 or $11,601. The $8000 wager pretty much guaranteed she wouldn't do better than second place.

Awesome match between Matt and James. It's funny - I initially thought Haiti too but went with Grenada. Funny how they both landed (wrong) on Nicaragua.

Love it when I get a question right that none of the "champions" can answer.

I can't believe none of them knew Allen Ludden or Richard Dawson. Same with $100,000 Pyramid.
re: Final Jeopardy, I don't ever recall seeing intolerable spelled as 'intollerable' before. I guess, as it's a quote, it's an antiquated spelling.
My guess for the final was Maori tattoos. I wonder if they would've given it to me?

Ozymandias
I met a traveller from an antique land
Who said: “Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert . . . Near them, on the sand,
Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown,
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them, and the heart that fed:
And on the pedestal these words appear:
‘My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:
Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!’
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away.”

Ken Jennings is being called a scab for continuing to work and not supporting his show writers picketing. Mayim has stopped working and is picketing to support the writers.

Mayim has a writing credit. Ken does not.

Calling Ken a scab is crazy...to my knowledge, he's not in the WGA or SAG-Aftra. I guess all these people forget that Jay Leno, Conan O'Brien, Jon Stewart and a few others ALL crossed the picket line to do their late night shows (sans writers) in 2008.

Wil Wheaton is coming off like a colossal asshole. Saw his post and subsequent discussion in his Facebook feed.

Re: Jeopardy! Discussion
Looking at some of the discussion, I feel like post people don't understand the definition of the word "scab" or the phrase "crossing the picket line". Ken's job does not involve any writing or even acting. He's definitely not a member of the WGA and I don't think he is a member of any entertainment union. Heck, did Alex stop doing shows during the last writer's strike? I don't recall Jeopardy going on hiatus. Also seems a bit disingenuous to single out Jennings among all the people and all the productions still going on out there. And while one can be sympathetic to the writer's demands, not sure why there has to be this purity test that you can't do anything even if not in the union or not related to writing.

Re: Jeopardy! Discussion
I read that all the clues written by the Jeopardy WGA writers were completed for the season before they left to strike. So I don't see what the problem is from Wheaton and others calling him a scab. They only have 1 more week of filming left. There are still several shows on network TV wrapping up filming their seasons with completed scripts. Are they scabs? Why are these idiots singling out Jennings?

Going into Monday's game, I figured it was gonna be good with the two solid co-champions but I would have given the edge to Hannah. Really surprised at how much Ben dominated it.

Re: Jeopardy! Discussion
I missed the episode and only saw final Jeopardy on Youtube. I would have expected the scores to be closer, but his score was far off going into Final Jeopardy.
