His horrible, obviously-dubbed voice grates me very time.

None of the insurance commercials would make me switch--Geico, State Farm, etc. I don't know how an Emu or a bunch of people in white aprons would make me buy insurance. I don't see a relevant correlation.

It may not get you to switch immediately but it really increases their name recognition so next time you think about switching, you think of them or their jingle. I mean it behooves you anyway to shop around for insurance.

My brain works the opposite. I assume all the companies I see commercials for all the time are the worst. Otherwise, they wouldn't need constant, annoying jingles on TV to get customers.

That kind of severely limits what companies you use though, doesn't it? Unless you just go to mom and pops or something.

Screw milk and beef and pork, must be something wrong with them if they're advertising now!

lol...I meant just in regards to insurance. We get all our insurance through discount plans at work for close to 20 years now. Haven't had to think about switching. And before that, MA was very limited with who you could use. All the companies I'd see on TV were never available in the state.

I once got a quote from Geico & guess what? They wanted me to help pay for their 6 billion a year advertising budget. Go figure, the company that buys ads on every channel all day every day is not the cheapest option.

I always think Adult Swim is an odd channel/time to be playing senior citizen ads.
Jimmy “JJ” Walker is baaaaaaaaack

Any commercials for The Daily Show. I can only imagine they're trying to be as obnoxious as possible.

The Google Pixel 8 ad touting audio clean-up on videos. That stupid little baby trying to talk; I hate that baby and its stupid baby talk. Stupid baby. I might hate it if it were my own baby.

I usually like Zoe Saldana, but my God is this ad awful and annoying. And it gets played constantly during football games.

100% agree. Didn't realize that was her. I will say the 'marshmallow' joke lands nicely, though

I want to know who's bright idea it was to hire Zoe and then put her in that suit on purpose.

^ And it’s literally on every single one of their ads!

I like the Zoe commercials because she’s so adorable in them. It’s unfortunate that they re-edited them to create a handful of different variations to air though, which is all well and good, until you realize they removed the marshmallow coat joke from all but one of them so in the majority of those commercials she’s just wearing a goofy, oversized coat for no reason.

I don't know why but I've been seeing the Squatty Potty commercial more lately. It's not a badly done commercial but man I don't need to see that. Looked it up and the full version (which thankfully never airs on TV) is sooo much worse:

That Squatty Potty commercial would have been so much better if it was Jeff Goldblum instead of that blond woman.

Or maybe Bill Cosby...

I can never hit the mute button fast enough when these commercials come on. It's gotten to the point where I'm looking for other channels to watch to avoid seeing them; however, they're almost everywhere.

That ad is really funny.
What did she say was finally kicking in though?

Like I said, the ad is fine, but I don't really want to think about any of that while watching TV.

Re: Commercials you absolutely f&*$ing HATE

How could you all not like a commercial where it starts with a woman on a toilet bowel and a fart sound, lol!! I am still cracking up after having watched the full commercial.

As I get older I can appreciate humorous attempts to sell me something designed to make my bowel movements easier without having to take a bunch of pills or metamucil, etc.. Honestly, i would prefer to endure this commercial than the umpteenth pharma commercial that tells me I should take their pill if I regularly experience migraine headaches but hey, be aware that the pill will resolve my headaches, but might force me to wear a diaper due to anal leakage as a possible side effect, thanks but no thanks!

Also, a lot of those annoying pharma ads air in prime time, or are commercials you cannot skip because you are watching a film on Tubi, Freevee, etc..

The thing is, what they are selling you is a small footstool (any pun given the use of the footstool in the commercial is unintended), so can't you just go to any store like Walmart and get something that will serve the same purpose as the item in the commercial?

Re: Commercials you absolutely f&*$ing HATE

I liked some of the Liberty commercials. The "Brad" one of course, because the spokesmodel was such a cutie, and also the first "Liberty Biberty" one. They bring that guy back, which I approve of, but now he just strings a bunch of baby talk together and it loses all its charm.
