I should have used roots instead of origins. Please don't take my small criticisms as a total trashing of the show. Like others, I hope they write Iris out because she is bringing the show to a crawl.
What I really want to see is more of an emphasis on villians and comic-book inspired plots. A team up with whichever Green Lantern they decide not to use in the movies would be neat. How about a two-part Starro Invasion? This could lead to the Flash teaming up with other heroes from the silver and bronze age. to form a television version of the Justice League.
The writers and producers have over 60 years of great material to draw from. They should never be found lacking for ideas.

When Barry finds that wall of video screens in the time vault that Reverse Flash has been using to spy on everyone, we find out Wells has been watching Iris and Eddie all this time having sex.

Reverse-Flash is one of the All-Time Great Villains to appear in a TV series.
Hope Tom C gets an EMMY nomination for his work.
Hopefully out long national NIGHTMARE is over. She knows or at least suspects the truth.

The ratings for this episode were great, some of the highest since the premiere. It actually beat out Agents of SHIELD, which is a stunning comparison since ABC has a far bigger broadcast reach than the CW.

Ok, question. If Eobard is from way in the future, how does he fight with the flash? Does he travel back in time to fight him? Is the newspaper referencing a time when flash and Eobard were fighting and he disappears or is it another scenario altogether?

I freaking love this show.
I think the Reverse Flash storyline will continue into next season. There's still SO MUCH we don't know about him/Thawne. How did he end up in the past? Who IS he, in his time? Why does he hate Barry Allen so much? How did he find out who the Flash was?
WAY too many unanswered questions for them to kill him off in three episodes.
This show is soooo good.

Good episode. I'm so glad Wells is sticking around and he didn't die a cheesy death.
As usual, the Iris stuff was pretty bad, but at least she is on the way to knowing Barry's the Flash. Everything else is fantastic.

I love how this breaks traditions and really throwing the lore right at you. Not beating around the bush for 10 years like Smallville did...

Today's audiences just can't seem to handle the secret identity concept anymore. Granted, it never made sense for someone like Clark Kent and Superman where the hero doesn't attempt to hide his face at all. Barry has always vibrated his face and voice around Iris, she'll discover his identity when the time is right. I probably would have preferred it to remain a secret a little longer, but that became impossible when they shared Barry's identity with just about every other character.
Does the U.S. publicize the identities of active Navy Seals or Army Rangers? No, because it would cause a lot of problems. Many wives in the intelligence community barely know what their husbands do for a living.

I hope the writers can find a productive role for Iris. She has her journalism angle, but it's hardly intriguing and the relationship 'drama' is uninteresting. I'd hate to see her stuck in a damsel in distress role.
Right now, she's dragging the show down since she's so removed from the rest of the characters from being out of the loop on Barry being the Flash. Although, even with her in the know I'm skeptical on how she is going to become an interesting character, but at least she can join in with everyone else.

In the comics there were all sorts of explanations about how Superman could disguise his voice/appearance. They ranged from using super facial muscles to change his face, to using super ventriloquism to project his voice. Then of course he had the Superman robots so he could appear in multiple places at once.

And there was a story where Lex Luthor put together a think tank that correctly deduced that Superman was none other than Clark Kent. When given the results, Luthor fired everyone on the project because he refused to believe that Superman would walk among us in the guise of a mere mortal.
That last one always seemed to me to the be one of the most elegant explanations as to how Superman hiding in plain sight could indeed work. I also like Roger Stern's explanation in his novel The Death and Life of Superman where it was a combination of many subtle things Clark would do. He'd speak with a baritone as Superman but with a tenor as Clark Kent. He'd slouch just a bit as Clark. He'd also use less commanding gestures when Clark Kent. His eyes were an almost impossible deep blue yet they would appear grey when he was wearing his glasses. Just little things that when combined would throw people off.
