Omg this show. Whew.

I'm glad Thawne has revealed himself. Should make for 3 crazy episodes.

What an incredible first year this show has had! I hope it can sustain it, but damn! I wonder if they have any kind of plan for future seasons.

My fear is that the writers of this season wrote the second season of Arrow. If they migrate to Legends (or whatever they end up calling it), The Flash's second season might suck as hard as the third season of Arrow. :(

The second season could have him cross the dimensional gateway into Earth-Two and meet Jay. Maybe even introduce Grundy and the Shade as new villains.

Just amazing  Easily the best superhero show that isn't on Netflix.

A superhero property can be bright and optimistic while still ratcheting up the danger, suspense, and intensity. Good stuff.

Now if the show could just break away from its CW trappings (Iris) and embrace its comic origins it would be almost perfect.

How has the show failed in not "embracing its comic origins"?

I want to have this show's children. I think we will look back and realize the first season of The Flash has been one monumental season of TV.

It's the greatest comic book show in the history of TV. The Flash has gone out of its way to basically duplicate decades of Flash's history from the comics. And the little touches the producers have invented or gone against comic book history have so far been perfect.

It's a tough call right now but this season of Flash is second only in my mind behind the first two Superman films and The Dark Knight. It shreds just about every Marvel film and TV production I've ever seen, and I've seen them all.

So where is that Blu-ray already?:D

Plus. Barry is going to have to step up his game significantly now that he has no mentor.

What's going to happen to Star Labs now that it's owner has been outed as a supervillan from the future? I can't imagine Cisco and Katelyn are going to be able to keep it going.

I would guess Barry will go back in time and save the real Dr. Wells from getting killed. His mother will live too. It'll jump back to present day and things will have changed ala the Butterfly Effect. Next season, Barry's mom will die again and things will get darker.

I'm glad to read these comments and realize I'm not the only person who's nuts about this show. It's now the only show I watch live because I can't wait to watch it.

I'm excited for these next three episodes, but even more excited to see what next season brings. It will be difficult to top what they've done this year building up to such a great climax. And Wells/Thawne has been a fantastic villain.

It seemed like they cut back the "founding member of the Justice..." line back even more.

Hasn't it been posted before that there is no sister like relationship with Iris in the comics? There is no getting around that being a bad idea from the start and will always be a knock on this show. Same with the casting choice for Iris and always playing her scenes like some bad Disney Channel high school drama.

The sooner they dump the "I'm Barry Allen" and extended last time on... stuff the better. I don't watch any other CW shows, but I think I've read that's a CW staple that needs to go away.

But overall it's simply an awesome show. Cisco's many pop culture references were spot on last night. Even the predictable reveal of the trap and Thawne coming out were very well played out.

Looks like The Flash beat Agents of SHIELD in the early ratings.

It's the first show I have ever felt guilty skipping its broadcast commercials in the past fifteen years. In a show of support for The Flash I've actually been watching the commercials during it since January.-eek-

 OMG, so fucking good.

Anyone who actually bailed on this show early in the season should be slapped silly for making such a foolish decision.

Next 3 episodes should be insane. This show in only 1 season is going through as much plot as some shows do in 5 seasons. I would have never guessed how fast they went through the Thawne/Reverse Flash storyline.

Tom Cavanaugh has turned out to be a really great villain.

I guess Iris knows now. :D

It's not clear how an electric shock caused that.

It's the same shock she felt touching Barry from the flashback.

Great show!

I do like how Flash and Arrow are not pulling a Smallville in who finds out about their powers or who they are. That gets really old when it goes on for years.

Yeah this episode was really good. They had me going on the whole Hannibal Bates/ Dr. Wells fake out. This is definitely the gold standard for genre TV and I don't know how they did it but they did a hell of a job.

Some really great stuff.

I'm betting Eddie will become bad. It's like the character totally changed in front of your eyes when he found out the connection. Bit creepy.

Iris needs to go away. Hopefully the paper is from another Earth where that Iris and Barry have chemistry. Can't the writers see that ther is none?

Barry needs to end up with Caitlin!
