Damn. 10 points for whoever called that one. Good to see Ava come back full circle to the bad ass she was in episode 1.

there has to be some apple pie thing coming. either Boon via original "in the glass", or markum via new fangled "in the grass" (he smokes).
i figured once Boyd hit ava there was no way she was team crowder, but i did not see this ending coming.
i wonder what justified could have done with 400 minute episodes like SOA.
if catherine doesn't check voicemail, or gets offed, cockroach duffy lives to snitch another day. maybe he has a .25 keistered and plugs a very aplexed Mikey.

if duffy buys it at the end, especially at the hands of the idiot mikey, I'm going to pissed. I think I'm rooting for him more than anyone.

So is Boyd dead? I seriously doubt it. They kept saying he was "smarter than that," and I have a hard time believing he was that blind when it comes to Ava, esp. after she told him she was a snitch. I'm glad there are 3 episodes left.

That Boon character has made a real impression in the short time he's been on. That guy is creepy as hell, and the way he was talking about 'his girl' in the diner was unsettling. They're setting him up for something big. It doesn't seem like we'll see a big Raylan-Boyd shootout now, will it be Raylan-Boon instead?
To me, this season has really captured that tense, menacing vibe that hasn't been around since season 2. With Ava as an example, it just seems like now anyone can go off on anyone at anytime. I love it. This has been an amazing run of final episodes.
And the smile on Boyd's face when he busts Katherine's scam was hilarious.

Boyd was clearly shot in the collar bone, he'll be fine.
Well, 3 episodes left. Will be interesting to see how it all ends.

Damn... thought Ava was going bad and would potentially be the new Katherine Hale by eventually turning on Boyd, but did not see that coming - well done by the writers.
Been a little bit on the fence about this season but the gunslinger from Colorado is pure awesomeness (the hat scene in the diner was fantastic). Also good that they did not use the gator teeth as a crutch to get Boyd for the Dewey murder - that would have been "Sutter-esgue, slowmo pan on the tape on the shotgun" weak, and I should have known better. They've also done a bunch of Tim and Raylan scenes which are almost always great. Still need one more Tim sniper shot, but somehow I get this feeling he doesn't make it.... maybe at the hands of the gunslinger?
Clearly Wynn Duffy can't die.... but Mikey seemed a lot less aplexed this episode; there's just too much women's tennis in the douche-mobile to be watched for him to buy it (I imagine if he was going to die, Mikey would have done it in this show). Wild guess - Boyd, who should still have Katherine's phone (?), rescues him to go after Ava and the money?
Also how does Zachariah come back into play? They left that open and I doubt that's unintentional - there might be one more mine scene left.
Told about 4X the story and then just rolled credits for the remaining 390 minutes?

i definitely didn't see the Ava situation coming. that was a nice twist.
and it's clearly obvious that Boyd isn't dead.
