Wells said he had been there 15 years, I'm pretty sure.

Did Wells show up in the past that night he killed Barry's mom or was he there before that time? And Wellesley use his powers when he got stuck in the past? We've seen him get out of the wheelchair and stumble so there's more that's going on with his powers.

I'm thinking (and this is purely speculation), that Wells and Barry were fighting in the future, and they ran so fast they went back in time (whether intentionally or accidentally) to the night of Barry's Mom's death.

Then Wells had no means to return to his time without the flash. I'd say that the Flash went back to his time, but the future newspaper says otherwise.

I think that may have been his first appearance, since the timeline seems right. Barry is in his early to mid 20's, I think they said he was 8 when his mother died, so that seems about right.

Pretty sure that this intro was taken from the Flash comic book. I remember seeing it in every issue for many years.

I got the sense that Wells had gone back in time to kill young Barry Allen and that Barry will go back in time to that spot to stop him.

Yeah, agree, I meant to say that after saying "intentionally"

Best episode of the series thus far imho.

Hadn't we've seen clues to indicate that Barry's and RF's fight takes place over the course of different time stamps as indicated by both color streaks suddenly showing up. Can't recall which scene. Perhaps when RF threatened the detective?

More like 15-16 years. Wells/Thawne came back to the past to kill Barry, ended up killing his mother instead and then was stranded in the past.

Cisco: "Joe was right. You were there that night, 15 years ago, in Barry's house. You killed Nora Allen."

Awesome episode. Cool to see the real Weather Wizard show up and be pretty bad ass.

The only thing I want to skip through is the Barry/Iris romance stuff. Sure, she's hot, but it's like they're brother and sister. eww.

Yeh Thawne said he has been stuck here for 15 years. And Cisco has been dead for centuries.

Anyway great episode and a Great reveal definitively letting go us know who Wells really is.

So how did Cisco discover that reverse flash was wells? He was watching video of the reverse flash, but I'm not sure how he was able to make the connection. Did he recognize the voice or something?

Didn't he realize that they hadn't really captured RF it was a hologram / projection of some sort that was set up by Wells to make it look like they had him?

It was a fun ep but really a copout episode. Sure kill Cisco dies & reveal your identity to Iris. Oh look, you've gone back in time. $10 says you'll do something in the next ep to stop Weather Wizard before he does anything, meaning you won't reveal to Iris who you are. Also, without knowing it, you'll change something so Cisco won't be looking into Wells and he won't kill you. The might as well had Weather Wizard kill Joe as well.

Well if Barry stops the Weather Wizard, Cisco doesn't have his ephimany at the police station so....

I like time travel stories a lot, so I'm not ready to label next weeks "reset button" a copout just yet. It looks like they're going to deal with the paradox issue.

It'll become a copout if Barry starts getting calls like, "Hey, Joe and Iris were just run over with a bulldozer. If you have chance this afternoon, could you run back and get them? kthxbai!"

I bet that when they press "reset", someone else will die instead of Cisco.

That would be good and consistent with Smallville (yes I know they are likely not in same continuity).

Pretty much in the same boat. Arrow is depressing as hell and I'm still pissed they killed off Canary.

She's coming back next year on a DC team-up show. The CW wised up and listened to fan complaints.
