Shameless (S5E07) - "Tell Me You F**king Need Me" - 3/1/15

Ian gets upset when he learns he is under a mandatory 72-hour hold at the psych ward; Frank returns home from the hospital and refuses to apologize to Sammi; Jimmy and Gus have a face-to-face meeting about their futures with Fiona; Lip discovers he never filled out his financial aid forms and now owes thousands in tuition; Debbie tries to get out of the "friend zone" with Derek.

So Steve/Jimmy/Jack is gone for good? Again?

I'm guessing he'll come back yet again late next season.

I feel Fiona has been pointless all season. Her entire arc this season is her relationship. Fiona is at her best and most necessary when she's involved with the family.

I get pissed just looking at V now. They really aren't doing a good job with that storyline. Kevin is hilarious though. I think they would have been better off keeping their story light this season.

The Ian stuff was great. Really hard to watch, in a good way.

Sammi may be the worst character on TV right now. I don't see how she can be allowed to continue taking care of the kids and the house after shooting someone, even if it was Frank. I hope Lip lets Fiona know but it'll probably be something they won't deal with. Has Liam been seen since early in the season?

Was the diner where she works really the best option for a meeting that you know is going to be high drama? Are there no other restaurants in Chicago?

Steve dropped off his contribution. Just you watch, there's going to be a "who's baby is it?" sort of bullshit to add to Fiona's already dumb problems.

And Fuck Sammi. What a worthless character.

next episode is "uncle carl". i smell a baby coming. gus drew a circle around it, saying they had sex the same day as stevejimmyjack.

i was tolerant of the sammi storyline until now. she really is the most vile, irredeemable character now.

yay for debs. i hope he doesn't turn out to be a prick.

i genuinely hope for fiona maturing and this pregnancy doesn't undo her growth.

Sammi adds a different dimension to the craziness. Provides for more story ideas while weaving them into the underlying fabric. That you think she is the most vile, etc shows she's playing the part well.

Debs, does she go for a lot of pricks thereby following in Fiona's footsteps or does she settle for one prick thereby helping her to get out of the life. My bet is she goes full on lesbian and hooks up with the lesbians in the neighborhood.

Fiona maturing drastically changes the dynamic of the show and would signal its end.

Lip and Ian, now there's a ton of stories around those 2 if things with Frank start to get stale.

Me, I'm waiting for V to find out the Russian BJ ho has moved in and doing wifely duties. That's going to be razor blade excitement.

Sorry, but anything currently including V is the opposite of excitement.

Sammi is bad, but V is the worst.I can't believe someone hasn't called her out for abandoning her babies... over sex. Yeah, sex is important to a relationship, and maybe Kevin is too busy being a helicopter parent to notice (although I don't think so from what we've seen). But just running away from her kids? That's a miserable, selfish human being right there.

Does anyone think she might have some form of postpartum depression? She was initially excited about having the babies but since they were born she seems like a different person.

It seems it's heading that way but them introducing Fiona's baby would be terrible for the show in the long run.

Maybe after a touching episode or two she'll realize everyone is better off if she gets an abortion. I don't think the show is scared to go there.

That's what I thought of at first, but now I'm not so sure. I initially thought they were setting this up with Kevin and V's mom (since they have, uh, a history together) and I thought the scene with the two of them in the living room would be it. Didn't expect it to be Mickey's girl.

Carl is already an uncle. Remember that Chuckie is his nephew.

Wow, Kevin just had twins in real life. Weird.

These days I'm more surprised when a celebrity doesn't have twins.
